In my opinion, the Orange County Otters' biggest rival is the New Orleans Second Line. In the time since I joined the league, the Austin Copperheads and the New York Silverbacks have probably been better teams than the Second Line, but both are expansion teams and so they don't have the longevity factor (technically New Orleans is an expansion team too, but given they were in the Season 2 Expansion it's not quite the same). When the two teams have been at the top they've been fighting over playoff position and the number one seed, and more recently we've fought with them for the final playoff spot. To make matters worse, they seem to be Suleiman Ramza (our starting quarterback)'s kryptonite. Last season, Ramza threw 29 touchdowns and 6 interceptions against teams not named the "New Orleans Second Line", and 4 touchdowns and 4 picks against them.
Were we to lose a game to NOLA, with the margins so tight given that there are only 3 playoff teams, it'd be a big loss. People would definitely be upset about it, but our locker room overall is a positive place and so there wouldn't be too much lingering disappointment. The users behind players like the aforementioned Ramza and Richard Leaking in particular are disgustingly positive (love you guys) and would be sure to pick everyone up afterwards and keep us focused on the next game rather than the last. My team had a heart wrenching loss in over time. I must say it is nothing really new here in Baltimore as everything seems to be pretty heart wrenching these days. I feel are team is used to it by this point and it is just another thing for us to work past. Was it against our biggest rival? In this league and with this level of competition any team that is not Baltimore Hawks is a rival we are not buddy buddy or friends with any other single team they are all the opponents and that is that its black or white no matter what team it is no one is more of a rival than another you either are Baltimore or you are not, and that is all it really comes down to. We all step up we own that shit. We know what we need to do to keep moving forward and continue to grow as a team and that is what we do. We keep on moving, if our time is not now, we know it is soon and that is what we keep fighting for, moving forward, striving towards the greatness that we know we can achieve as a team. Every loss is heart wrenching, because its not the win we know we can achieve.

If I had to pick one rival for the Sabercats I would have to go with no other than the Orange County Otters. The Otters are in our state and thus a perfect rivalry for the fans to enjoy. An overtime loss to that team would be a tough pill to swallow for our locker room. Emotions would be very high but I think two leaders would step forth to talk to the team and help us refocus for the next game. The first would be none other than our long standing quarterback Monty Jack. Monty has been here for so long and has so much knowledge that the team always responds to the messages he provides. I know Monty would be able to get our heads in the right place and be ready to play our next slated game. After we get over the disappointment of the loss, the other player we would need to hear from is the hype man Rickie Vaughne. Vaughne would know how to get us pumped up and excited to take the field. After his words we will be ready to hit harder and run faster and give our all out on the field. There is no way we would lose again to the Otters after we heard from our two leaders on both sides of the ball.
