12. Choose a team or player to write about that isn’t your own. What did they do well in the last season? Have they shown any drastic improvements from previous years? What could they do better?
Borgo San Lorenzo was an absolute beast this season. In 16 games, Borgo tallied up 90 receptions for a total of 1038 yards and 8 touchdowns. This is 11.5 yards per reception, with a long of 58 yards. The league was not ready to block this man and his success this year shows that opposing defenses should be terrified of the offense of the Philadelphia Liberty. Borgo lead the league's TE's in every category except total receptions and longest play. Most yards and yards per catch, most TD's means he was the most impactful when the ball was in his hands. Borgo should easily take home the TEotY award this year, and he could bring in the Offensive Breakout Player of the Year award as well. Compared to last season, Borgo nearly doubled his yards with 30 more catches. His average per catch went up 2.5 yards, and he had 5 more TD's than the previous year. These are huge gains and I can't stress enough how Borgo's consistency on the field helped the offense flourish. Watching this man do work and pick up first downs was an inspiration to the entire team, and cheering for him week in and week out was always exciting. He lead TE's in fantasy this year by a large margin as well, which is really the most important part. In my opinion, Borgo's only real competition for Offensive Breakout Player of the Year would be Deadly Memes, but I think the comparison there is a bit unfair, as Memes formerly played a solo role of FB, which gets obviously far fewer and worse opportunities than a RB1/2. His attempts increased from 24 to 192, which is 168 more carries, but his YPC only increased from 4.2 to 5.3, 1.1 more yards per carry. Realistically, you could say that Borgo also lined up frequently at WR3, which has more opportunities than the TE1 position does, but TE1 still gets the ball a lot (as evidenced by his 61 catches from Season 29). Borgo showed a massive growth this year in his overall efficiency, not just getting the ball fed to him 150+ more times. As far as the other members of the ballot in this group go, for Marc Hamel, 22 extra cakes and 6 less sacks allowed is a good improvement, but it's not in the same class as that of Borgo who held more frequent quantifiable impacts on the course of games. Remus Roman was fed the ball 100 more times, and while his yards did increase by nearly 500 and his TD's by 12, his average yardage per carry remained the same. Finally, Joseph Radetzky had a big increase in targets, receptions and yards, going from 37 to 90, and having almost 700 more yards than the prior season, but his efficiency went down, having a lower yard per reception by 1.2. I give credit to everyone on the ballot for Offensive Breakout Player for having great seasons, but Borgo's improvement is easily set apart on it's own.

31. The World Football Association was established last season and is currently playing out for the first time. What do you think about the WFC as a whole and how it has been shaping out. Do you think it will end up a success?
The World Football Association I think is a fantastic addition to the ISFL, through this team I've been able to unite out on the field with some old friends, and talking with my teammates (new and old) about the team we're on and who we're playing with and against has been a lot of fun. While personally, due to IRL factors, I'm not able to watch the sims, I really wish that I had the time. I heard that I got a pick six in one of the games and was super proud lol. I think the new psuedo-league will be a success, but like everything in life this first draft will require some changes and adjustments. First off with picking who plays on teams, I've heard some complaints from players missing out on being on a team for no clear reason, which to me makes no sense. In another case, I've heard that some users would like there to be a younger representation on these teams, rather than the maxed out players getting most of the glory yet again. I'm not sure that I entirely agree that the WF(A/C which is it?) is the right place for this. I think that the idea for some form of Youth Showcase would be a lot of fun to keep newer users engaged, but I like the idea as a vet with a maxed out player to be able to play once more with my old friends on a new team. One last thought I had is that I wish some of the logo's were better, I know logo design is incredibly difficult, I went through the painstaking process of changing Norfolk's logo after all (shout out to Schwarz and Tmo and everyone else who worked on that project). But maybe now that the first teams have been selected, if there was a community effort to put in your own influence on what you think the logo should contain, or any fresh ideas you may have for it, and have the logo change on a 3-5 year basis as the team make-up changes. I can't tell if that's a really dumb idea, or a really fun one lol.
