Reggie "Rumble" Ronson's mentor is also his agent, Charlemagne Cortez. Cortez, the recently retired quarterback formerly of the Arizona Outlaws had a short, but significant career in the ISFL. Being that Reggie is trying to get a leg up on the competition as time slowly marches on toward his eventual drafting into the league, there is no one better he could think of to pick their brain, so to speak. While Charlemagne never managed to reach the mountain top of winning an Ultimus Trophy, he did manage to be named Offensive Rookie of the Year, as well as winning a Quarterback of the Year award and the MVP in the same season. He managed to play at a high level for a very competitive team, and Reggie feels that he has a lot to of knowledge to impart about what it takes to be successful at the next level. Along with being Rumble's agent, Cortez has taken on the mentor role with zeal, happy that he can help his new client in any way possible.

It's pretty obvious my mentorship was a very different experience from the majority of people on this site. I say that because my mentor was someone who tried to hold me back as long as he could, and almost succeed in sucking the life from me.
That's right, @Kotasa is a vampire! But not even the cool kind that bites your neck, makes you go mmm. No, he's like Morbius from the 90s Spider-Man, with little suction cup hands tha5 suck the life from everyone he shakes hands with. And the worst part is, I checked into it and Blade was like not my problem. It should be! So my mentor taught me through forcing me to adapt, having to run and hide to keep from him touching me, being near me, his stinky breath touchin my nose as he started to wither and needed to feed. And that's when he started trying different methods. He sucked the life out of my position coach so I wouldn't get taught what to do. He threatened to suck the life out the QB if he threw to me. Hell, I tweaked my knee and he sucked the life out of the training staff so I'd always ache. Kotasa is an evil vampire who was trying to hold me down and suck the life out of me and I overcame because of need. It's a strange mentorship, but one that I needed. Now can I please have some garlic and a wooden stake?

Big Slammu is nearing the end of his career and he's been reflecting on all the great mentors he's had throughout his career. He remembers the first time he met Nero Alexander, a HoF defensive linemen he played with back when he was on Yellowknife who took him under his wing and taught him how to be a professional. He's now that mentor to the younger players on his Hahalua team. They seem him as a hero as he was a big catalyst to the legendary Ultimus run they had a couple seasons ago. The aura keeps growing as he's just won Defensive Player of the Year and Linebacker of the Year. The mentorship position is an odd position to be in for Big Slammu, as he has been such a hothead on and off the field for most of his career. Despite this players still look up to him as an example of greatness of the football field.
