15) I must say that this was one of the most exciting Ultimus games in recent memories. If I could give the Ultimus MVP trophy to a member of the losing team, it would definitely be Richard Leaking. He started the game off with a bang, hauling in Gimmy Jaroppolo Junior's only interception and taking it 15 yards to the house for the game's opening touchdown. Unfortunately the Otters would fall to an epic comeback from the Hawks. As such, I must give the MVP trophy to Gimmy Jaroppolo Junior. After shaking off that interception, he went on to throw for almost 400 yards and 5 touchdowns. There is no doubt the Hawks would have lost without his excellent gameplay. As for the celebration afterwards, the Hawks had a lovely time at Disneyworld, except for the offensive linemen. They all decided that it would be a great idea to squeeze into one boat for the "It's a Small World After All" ride. The boat promptly sank and delayed the ride 10 seconds into starting. They were asked not to return.
21) I am sure myself and others could write way more than 150 words on this. Overall, I think the on-field product of DDSPF21 is much better than that of DDSPF16. Both small things such as being able to see the ball travel through the air and bigger fixes such as offensive players not dragging defenders down the field with them are welcome changes. Visually, it also looks slightly better (as much as dots on a screen can look better). However, off the field I unfortunately feel that there are very much some negative changes. For example, navigating the in-game menus became slower and simply more cumbersome as compared to DDSPF16. Arguably the biggest "downgrade" from 16 to 21 was the removal of exhibition games. This is both a curse and a blessing as it makes sim testing harder to setup. Personally speaking, it is probably for the best that I am no longer running hundreds of thousands of sims overnight. While sim-testing still exists in some form in DDSPF21, I feel that the exhibition game removal is better for the league as a whole.
22) For as ridiculous and silly as sim leagues are (seriously, this is a little odd when you think about it), the Ultimus and Ultimini deserve and equally ridiculous and silly act. In my personal opinion, there is no act that fits this description better than the legend himself, Weird Al Yankovic! Al is a household name and has had an illustrious career throughout his many years. One of the few things left on his bucket list is to play the halftime show for a simulation dot football league. While the attendance numbers for sim games has never been confirmed, you can bet that you would hear one of the three generic crowd cheering sounds DDSPF21 has after Al performs. Rumor has it Al may even be preparing new parodies for the performance catered specifically for sim leagues, such as "Sim Luck" or "Max Earning". Regardless, Al is the wholesome, family friendly act that would appeal to all members of the league.
25) It's funny, coming into the league I was stuck between CB and DE, eventually electing to go with DE but later getting swapped to CB. However, for the sake of this writeup, I will exclude both of those positions. If I had to choose another position, I probably would have gone offensive line. Coming into the league, it seemed that offensive line was the position group with the lowest number of users. This combined with my apathy for stats (and relative lack of stats for offensive linemen anyway) made it an ideal position for me. On top of all that, human offensive line seems to always be a position that is in high demand across all teams at both the DSFL and ISFL levels. Part of who I am as a person is just wanting to contribute and help however I can. Offensive line is the position that seems to epitomize this. Perhaps when I recreate, the league may see an Albert Ruschmann Jr. on the offensive line.
