I would like to submit Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for our host city.
Rio de Janeiro, often called Rio for short, is the most recognizable city in Brazil that has a rather sizable American football audience. Currently, no ISFL team is located there but I could see it becoming a potential expansion location as the league continues to grow. What better way to advertise? Rio is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world, revered for both its natural beauty and culture. The city has hosted both World Cups and Olympic games so it is no stranger to large sporting events and would be able to accommodate fans that would need to travel to see the games live. For a venue, the Maracanã Stadium was designed for the World Cup and could be equipped with an American football field for the big game. The stadium itself is impressive and would portray success and culture within the league.
I was unable to find any events or teams located in South America for the league so there is an untapped market. The league would be one step closer to being truly International!
I have provided a draft of the logo below. I wanted to capture the vibrant colors of Carnaval along with the natural beauty of the beaches. The mask was an easy image as Rio’s Carnaval celebration is legendary with colorful masks being numerous. Masks in this style also convey a sense of celebration and mystery as the league anxiously awaits to crown its next Champion. As you know, it can be anyone behind the mask.
Thank you for your consideration.
