When American Boot was approached to hold a training camp for kids, he accepted the offer, and got to work on the drills the children would go through. But this would not be a normal training camp, while there were normal football drills, like catching a football, running routes, and some light conditioning, there would also be a mandatory rocket jumping practice session. He sent his plans to the front office, and everything was approved except for the mandatory rocket jumping practice session. American Boot was distraught over this and nearly cancelled the entire training camp. Eventually the front office was able to reach an agreement where the kids did indoor skydiving instead of rocket jumping. Training camp signups went well with over 500 kids getting signed up. All parents had to sign a waiver, all it said was that they could not sue the organization. The training camp went well, no one got injured, and indoor skydiving was the highlight of training camp.
