Ah! Another season of the ISFL; it's great to be back! For me, I have quite a bit of people to thank for making the ISFL supremely enjoyable for me. First and foremost, my teammates at NOLA have been great and always a great time to vibe and hang with, especially during games! The people I would like to shoutout at NOLA or I have played with at NOLA are: @GuitarMaster116 , @mithrandir , @SomeSay... , @"myrrh" , @Jaywe88 , @Punk42AE , @GlimsTC , @slothfacekilla , @JuOSu, and @Starboy. Currently, we are having such a great time this season as we are finally taking that next step forward as a team and becoming a true contender this season. It's been a great ride so far in this early part of the season that we hope to continue going forward! The other people that I would like to shoutout are non-NOLA members that I've had fun bantering with and trading barbs with! These people are @Oles , @zaynzk , @Frostbite , @DarknessRising , @negs , @DREAMSLOTH , and many of the other ISFL users that I have interacted with in the discord Town of Salem game! Here's to another great season from all of us and more great times like this!
There are a lot of great users in this community. Since I'm more of a Discord user I'll use their screen names there for clarity:
Got to give a huge shoutout to Negs. He's the one who first recruited me to the ISFL and has been nothing but class. I've seen his name pop up here more than once so obviously I'm not alone in thinking he's a good dude (I am assuming Negs is a dude. Apologies if I'm not correct) RussDrivesTheBus is one of the most lively and important members of the SaberCats, and the one with whom I have the most fun. Russ brings huge energy to gamedays and does a great job pushing all the players to get updates in and improve. Most importantly, he's always got something nice and encouraging to say, there isn't a negative bone in his body. Lastly, Sebster from the London Royals was my first GM and is also one of the genuinely nicest users on this forum.
So for this PT I’m feeling good and have decided to give out a good few compliments to just some of the people I have encountered across the league.
First off, it’s safe to say that Frostbite is probably a pretty handsome guy. Since the time of writing this sentence my legal team have informed me this is not a wise thing to say about a twelve year old child. Despite what you may think at first glance, unconfident69 does not actually smell that bad, only a slight pong. I am sure our good commissioner Laser does have a life outside of sim league-ing, regardless of how it seems with all his jobs. In all fairness to the guy, who is not too good at much of anything, Kotassa does know how to run a somewhat competent wikipedia, even if the man is absolutely, terribly, horribly, tremendously awful at paying his staff on time, or a lovable wage.

I would like to say something nice about all of my teammates in Chicago. It is really a great place to play, and that starts right at the top with CC and Painted. You know what, I'll include Cody in this too. These guys have done a really great job putting together a fantastic team and an even better locker room. I'm quite busy these days, and not around a whole lot, but it seems like one of the feeds in that locker room is always hoping. A lot of the time, this is either due to the afore-mentioned GMs or some of the ISFL veterans we have around. That definitely includes Bayley, Muford, and Reno, among others. Even though Bay and Moof are stinky and I definitely don't want to associate with them at all, they're really good at keeping everyone interacting and the conversation rolling. Finally, we have some awesome newer guys as well, and they definitely deserve a shoutout as well. I'm looking at you Twenty6 and Reedy.

I'll shout out @hotdog on this one. I first got to know him when I got drafted to AZ. He was a then young safety on the roster and one of our most promising users. Over the seasons he gradually whittled me down and got me to join the SHL. I wasn't sure how active I would be in the league so I warned most GMs that it was my secondary league and probably wouldn't max earn. I was completely wrong. As a UDFA I was far behind my classes average TPE and ended up falling in the draft to Atlanta, where hotdog promptly picked me. 7 or 8 seasons late, I'm the top of my class (and league) in TPE and Atlanta just won the Challenge Cup. After seasons and seasons of playoff letdown as a GM in the ISFL, it was such a relief and joy to win one as a player in the SHL. So thank you hotdog for getting me into the league and getting me a title.
For me there are plenty of players that I can shoutout that have made my time in this league super enjoyable. The first ones that come to mind are people like @Kyamprac, @Amidships, @Attopax, @Tonzy, @Kyle and @r0tzbua. All of those users have been great friends for a while now and I would not have joined this league if it was not for them.
On the other side I have to shout out people like @qWest, @zeagle1, @furiousPanda who gave me the opportunity to step up from being more than just a player in this league and begin to get more involved. But, for this go around there is really only one user that I need to thank. His halo skills could definitely use some work but, if it was not for him I would have probably just wanted to stay back down in the DSFL and not try as hard. So a massive shoutout to you @Dewalt27, thanks for the chance for Berlin and being an overall awesome dude, except at halo... Get better at halo... Code: 177 words
Honestly, the whole San Jose Sabrecats team are just awesome. Drafted me on the advice of one of their players, I pretty much ended up IA immediately and the must’ve wondered what on Earth they had wasted a pick on. I got my stuff straightened out and came back, certainly not expecting the welcome back I got. They have been immense ever since, in every way.
The GMs, @ckroyal92 and @russdriveathebus have been stellar. Not only being a couple of outstanding tactical guys, also the most nurturing GMs, providing guidance where needed. Exactly how a GM tandem should be! @Asked Madden might only be a rookie this season… but it was he who persuaded me to join ISFL (we were J teammates in SHL), he also managed to persuade the aforementioned GM tandem to take a punt on me. Hopefully they don’t regret it?! Madden is very much one of the heart and soul guys in the locker room, and a fellow Scot! The rest of the team are a bunch of beautiful bastards too! @Pvtpenne, @Net, @mcgriddleluver, @TubbyTim69, @Friesen1520, @woelkers, @bex, @ajtigger, @Gordon Bombay, @AW13, @Talls, If I’ve forgotten anyone I’m so sorry x

I would like to talk about a few people here, even if this winds up being late.
@dallasrogue21 Thank you for help showing me the ropes in the Portland locker room. I really apreciated the introduction to the league from there. this also goes for @CptGoosar and @PugWalrus as GMs, who are great at helping me out and overall fostering an amazing culture @Arctic Shoutouts to arctic. He's been a great beacon of positivity ever since I joined the league, and has done nothing but be positive and helpful every time I talked to him @zeagle1 and @XaveValor You all have always been helpful and willing to answer even my (admittedly often very dumb) questions, and have helped me learn the ropes quickly. here's hoping that I one day will be in the position to help other people like you helped me @RussDrivesTheBus and @woelkers, as rookie mentor heads not only helping me when I first was entering the league, but also now as a rookie mentor, I see exactly how much work they put in, even if it's not always visible to everyone. I really appreciate what they did for me, so I hope I can "pass it forward" to them @Moldycheez4 - He's the goat he's finna carry. @dustywilson22 Keep up the media dude! I love what you are doing. And finally a big shout out to all the S38 Rookies! I hope y'all do better then me!
Over the last couple years of being in the ISFL, there have been many people along the way that have made the experience much more enjoyable. Starting way back in S17 by being drafted by the San Antonio Marshals, where woelkers was drafted way ahead of me by the same team but he helped to get me drafted and regain my activity in this league, starting when covid hit in S22. After that I became a GM and had a plethora of great mentors to help me along the way like Dewalt and CLG, as well as woelkers from before all helped to make that experience as fun as it could be, even with the choccy milk thing. The next people I want to thatnk are all of my SJS teammates throughout Lackson's career, as they helped to keep me engaged in the league that I love, special shoutout to CK and Matty for sim testing so much, and Russ for letting me have 1 final season as RB1 to finish my career.
