When I think of the Minnesota Grey Ducks, I know we need great halftime entertainment to keep the crowd pumped each and every week. So to synergize with local sports groups, we’ve absolutely got to go with a 5 minute exhibition scrimmage featuring the community-based AAA youth hockey program of the same name.
Isn’t hockey played on ice? Correct. Isn’t football played on grass? Also correct. This logistical challenge can be remedied by rolling an ice rink into mid-field for the scrimmage. Wouldn’t that take longer to set up than the entire duration of halftime? Maybe. We just need to hustle more, and set up an elaborate stage with sheets of ice, rink structure, and lighting to make it all work out.
On second thought, maybe this IS too much for a halftime show. Instead, lets do a hockey scrimmage with actual Grey Ducks playing each other, all of them with little sticks and skates strapped to their appendages. With a little training that would be spectacular, and small enough to set up quickly.
