Yellowknife has a dedicated fan base from across Canada, however it is one of the least accessible stadiums with people having to travel a long way to stay in the tiny city for the game. SO for fan appreciation day, the team have decided to give back to these fans by having their own accommodation for fans to stay in and putting on an entire festival to go with it. "Freezing Man Festival" might not quite have the same vibe as it's opposite number but the team and all their players will be visiting, signing autographs and having a throw around with fans. However the main attraction is that the players and coaches will also be performing headline music sets for the festival. Smaller Canadian musicians like Justin Bieber will perform earlier in the day but the duet between Absolute Unit and Kalam Mekhar will be the closing act of the festival. Fans will get to see an incredible football game and then an incredible musical performance from their favourites, who could ask for more?
Obviously, The Chicago Butchers absolutely love every single one of their fans with all their heart, and of course, to make it an unforgettable Fan Day, they would bring out the all their fans onto the field pre-game to take pictures, autographs, and whatever else they wanted within reason with the players, on the field, set up before the game. After the game, for whichever fans were late, the team would also bring them out, play with the players, catch, photographs, autographs, and basically again whatever else was allowed within reason. On top of that, The Chicago Butchers have continued to also gone above and beyond to continue supporting local businesses and hospitals, and the players regularly, (at least once a week) go to different businesses and hospitals to greet the fans and business owners that make everything possible for the Chicago Butchers to keep pushing forward to be the best that they can be.
It is always important to please the fans, as they give a lot of support, energy, and time to the team they cheer for, and it would remiss not to appreciate that enthusiasm at least once a year. One idea I have for an event in a fan appreciation day is for the players to have a Q&A or AMA with fans. Obviously not all questions can be asked, so we would have to have a moderator asking the questions he feels are good enough to be worth the players' time. Another event could be a day where you get a few lucky people and they get to tour the ravens facilities, and the tour would also be uploaded to the team's youtube so people who didn't get to go could also see what the team's cafeteria, gym, practice field, etc., would look like. I think that would be pretty exciting.
Without the fans, there is no ISFL. The diehards that show up to our stadiums each week and pour their emotions into our jobs, it helps motivate me to play better. Something that I think is great is how the Coyotes work to acknowledge their most dedicated fans, the season ticket holders. At the beginning of each season, the team throws a big party at the stadium. First, season ticket holders get to watch what is essentially our first real practice as a team. Then, after the practice is over the fans come onto the field for Meat and Greet. Being in Kansas City, home of some of the worlds best BBQ, we have world renowned pit masters put together a feast while fans and players mingle and eat a great meal together. Yard games, autographs, photo booths, almost anything you can think of. I'm glad that I play somewhere that the fans are so greatly appreciated. It was cool to experience some real BBQ for the first time ever and get to meet some longtime Coyotes fans.

The Royals are famous for their football but also for the tourist and fan attraction that they are. Being a London Royal fan can lead to many exciting moments, but maybe none so great as the Royal Flag football day. This is an opportunity for young fans to try out the game, playing at the iconic Royals stadium at a day out for the whole family. There is all kinds of free food and drink, such as wonderful bratwursts, and Lager to boot, as well as healthy soft drinks for the kids or those not wanting to drink alcohol. The 7 aside tournament offers a chance for kids to experience what it's like on the field. And each team that participates gets to meet all the stars of the Royals with the winning team getting to spend an entire day being coached by the Royal staff and playing with their heroes. There will be lots of prizes to be won, and every kid will receive a free jersey of their favourite player.
Last game we won against HON. It felt great and the fans cheered us on. You know what they don't talk about?? 3 weeks ago when Arizona put the beating on us at home! The fans threw trash on me as I jogged off the field. ME! THE GREAT BENDER!! Well Bender don't forget. Turns out after this last big win the big whigs up top are gonna have us do some fan appreciation day. Sign autographs, let the fans dunk us in a dunk tank and whatnot. The whole thing sounds too cheesy for ol' Bender. But I'm contractually obligated to go. So I'll go. But I have a surprise for them. I'll sit at the autograph booth and sign their dumb things. And when the crow gets big enough, BOOM, I'll pull a lever that trigger a metric ton of trash to fall from the rafters on to them. That'll show these stinking fans to throw trash at me. hehehehe
