Kurbis got up in front of his Yellowknife teammates. Scanning over the crowd, he was pleased to call them brothers and sisters, each and every one of them bringing a unique skillset to the team. He took a deep breath, and gathered his thoughts.
"Folks, we've got to keep it one hundred. We can't stay mid, this is our year, our time, our opportunity!" He began shouting, "These other teams are frauds, we are better at every position, and I swear to you, the hard work is going to pay off! It's going to pay off. We're right here this year! Undefeated through 7 weeks. It's our time baby."
He took a deep breath, all eyes in the room looking at him intently.
"Huddle up, huddle up," Kurbis said, raising his fist into the air, as the team quickly gathered around him.
"Family on three!" He looked around the room, "One, two, three!"
"FAMILY"
Then the family broke huddle.
