The Defensive End is possibly one of the most sought after positions in ISFL as there is a severe minority of people that want to play a defensive position and those that do don't really want to play on the line of scrimmage. It gets even smaller as the people who do end up on the line often go to DL instead of DE. However there are a couple of players this season that did decide to play Defensive End. I'll be listing each on the order they went in the DSFL draft a long with how their rookie season went and how good I think they will be in the majors. A quick reminder that this is not to be taken seriously. I'm not a Scout and player's can always prove me wrong. Something to keep in mind is that this list will only include players selected in the Season 39 DSFL Draft, if you were picked up off of waivers chances are I missed you. However, going into the future I will do a further in depth scan of many other rookies including those not selected in the draft. Special shout out to @RDBSouthPaw for this idea.
Colt Mackintosh is a man of very few words, literally. His last post on the website was December 19th for an Activity Check he didn't claim. Colt had an alright season however adding to the Seawolves dominant D-Line with 11 Tackles and 3 Sacks. Although I doubt any scouts have reached out to him I still expect Mackintosh to be one of the last picks in the draft due to DE still being needed. Other than this there's nothing much to say.

Predicted Team:
Iosefa Fuamatu-Ma'afala - 209 TPE - Round 1 Pick 7
Finishing the season with a Ultimini loss surely puts this player in a bad mindset coming into the ISFL draft, however that doesn't take away from this players solid preformance as a rookie. Holding 52 Tackles, 5 TFL's and 1 Sack makes Iosefa a rather high prospect on many GM's boards especially being a high earning new create with 209 TPE.
Iosefa is a power rusher, making him an alright player when it comes to many, but compared to his other counterparts not the best. His best feat so far is his strength with a whopping 90 giving him max strength for his archetype. A visible weakness within his play though is his inability to rush around any Linemen coming his way. And when most linemen are either stronger or the same level of strenght as he is, it makes getting a sack an impossible feat. His speed/agility are incredibly low and with 41 TPE left to spend on it, gives his draft spot a a bit of a grave. However looking at Iosefa's user (myself), it's easy to tell that they are pretty set on making their player as useful as possible for any team that comes a long. Being a max earner really helps out this player's image in many GM's eyes and I expect nothing but a bright future for this prospect.
Prospect Grade: B+
Predicted Team:
Alex Armstrong (@Duilio05) - 261 TPE - Round 3 Pick 17
Possibly the most exciting defensive prospect in a while, he had a monster season and hit minors cap in his first season. Gathering 51 Tackles, 14 Sacks, and 7 TFL's you would expect a statline like this out of an ISFL All Defensive Team player. Armstrong is a run stuffer yet hasn't maxed out his Strength. Instead he has seemed to take a balanced approach to his build hitting solid marks in all key stats including Strength, Agility, Speed, and Tackling. Being such a high earner really puts Alex Armstrong on top, I see him being a Top 3 Pick and maybe even Number 1 with many teams needing DE.
User Duilio05 is also a veteran in ISFL, with this recent Ultimini making him a 2 Time Champion of the Trophy on top of his 2 Ultimus Trophies, many teams want a successful recreate in their Locker Room which only adds to his value as a prospect. He is also a prominent member in the website with tons of activity. His pockets are also full with 152 Million in the bank which could last him through Alex's whole career. Duilio05 is very active rarley missing any chance to earn TPE so any GM should take him as soon as they could.
Prospect Grade: A+
Predicted Team:
Colt Mackintosh (@mackcoltond) - 50 TPE - Round 5 Pick 39
Colt Mackintosh is a man of very few words, literally. His last post on the website was December 19th for an Activity Check he didn't claim. Colt had an alright season however adding to the Seawolves dominant D-Line with 11 Tackles and 3 Sacks. Although I doubt any scouts have reached out to him I still expect Mackintosh to be one of the last picks in the draft due to DE still being needed. Other than this there's nothing much to say.
Prospect Grade: F+
Predicted Team:
Action Bronson (@jackkmart) - 125 TPE - Round 6 Pick 41
Another rather silent player, Action Bronson has had a rather silent career so far, although miles better than Colt Mackintosh he has fallen under inactivity with alright stats for a rookie. With 14 Tackles and 2 Sacks nothing about him really screams, "top draft pick". Bronson is a speed rusher with baseline attributed. Not going above 65 on anything. Now while this seems weird with his decently high TPE count keep in mind that only 67 of his TPE is actually applied with the other 58 being banked. You might think that user jackkmart has a plan for this but his last post with the league was an update early January.
While Action has had a rather lackluster career so far I still see him being a solid middle of the pack player within his next few seasons in DSFL. If he ever does come back Action will be a force to be reckoned with. Hope that he does come back however if he doesn't there's no shame.

Concluding Statements
Although half of this years DE prospects are inactive there is still hope for the 2 prospects. It will be interesting seeing how far apart each of these players are chosen apart and how close my predictions truly are. There is a bright future for the upcoming Defensive Ends of this league and fans of Defense in general should be proud of these youngsters! Their willingness to get dirty and choose a position many others would not dare to play really shows their selflessness. Users like this are the true heroes committing themselves to watch a bubble do practically nothing for a month, it’s all for use however as many of these users get selected in high rounds. Good luck to all my fellow Defensive Ends, I hope you make as much as a career as I know you will.
