Story of Sean “Hands” Robinson
High School:
Sean Robinson was the football kid coming out of middle school. Sean played WR in tackle for many years and it was time for the big stage. High School ball. This was a bigger and brighter stage and Sean saw it as a chance to shine. He was well known by many of the coaches at MVHS (Mission Viejo High School). They immediately wanted him to Start at WR for them. Varsity. He was surprised and not surprised because he knew he was good but starting varsity as a freshman doesn’t just happen. This is when SB realized he was really, really good. Sean was a great student and got A’s in very class except getting a B in Algebra. Math wasn’t really his thing but still manger to get a B. The first game of the season was against CAPO high school which was a huge rival of MVHS. It wasn’t really a rivalry as much to MVHS because they absolutely destroyed CAPO every. Single. Time. It wasn’t even funny how bad CAPO was. Even knowing this, Sean approached this game like any other and knew he had to play his best ball. Sean played some CB to start the game then when MVHS got on offense, it was his time to shine. As you may know by now, Sean is known for his hands or in other words he catches everything. The QB who was a junior knew this. But still motivated himself to put the ball right on Sean and give him an easy job. Hike! The QB looked around the field and saw nothing available. The DE’s were coming and he had to get moving. He ran out of the pocket to his left and all the sudden saw Sean lose his defender on a nasty move. Sean at the time was 6’1” and 178 pounds so he was pretty big and still growing (currently 6’3” and 184 pounds). The QB launched it about 30 yards to Sean and Sean made a beautiful toe tapper catch right on the sideline. It was all systems go from thieve and Sean Robinson would go on to have one of the best receiving seasons by an MVHS freshman. Sophomore season, he played even better. Posting the best receiving stat-line in California. It seemed like no one could stop him. He went on to have the most receiving yards in a season from a MVHS player. This was his junior year. It got even better in his senior year with the best reception to target ratio in the country! Also with the 4th most receiving yards in the nation. With a historical high school tenure in the rear view mirror, it was time for Sean to pick a college. He had many options including Oregon, Utah, and Florida. But for Sean’s entire life he wanted to attend San Diego State University. Also, his mom went here and was inspired by that. So, Sean chose SDSU over many top colleges.
College:
Let’s make this short and sweet. Sean Robinson had one of the best freshman seasons at SDSU ever and had big time numbers that had DSFL scouts noticing. He was part of a top receiver class including Coke Zero, Legs McMillion, Benji Aguilera, and many more. Sean knew he had competition when it came to being seen by WR scouts. His junior year had just ended and he decided to enter the DSFL. Now, it was time for Sean to sit on his couch and wait for the scouts to come. And they did. Sean currently has been scouted by 7/8 DSFL teams and was feeling great.
Shelbyville Stallions and the Prospect Bowl:
It was now time for the famous DSFL prospect bowl. All rookies would be randomly out into 4 different teams. Sean was put on the Shelbyville Stallions. The Stallions got many top receivers in the draft class like Legs McMillion who doesn’t even have hands but still manages to be a top wideout in the class. Day 1 of the prospect bowl was a disappointment for the Stallions going 1-2. But for Sean, it was a success. He finished with the best receiving line for the Stallions with 17 REC on 21 Targets. 173 receiving yards and a TD. Sean knew he played well and was excited for day 2. Day 2 came quick and the Stallions were motivated to play better. And they did play better going 2-0-1 with the QB Bot playing lights out. Coke Zero and Garret Cheetaham headlined the receivers and Legs McMillion getting receptions and yards also. Robinson had a quiet game with most of the targets going to the other WR’s. Although, when Sean got a target, he made the most of it and in the last game of day 3, Robinson had 4 receptions on 4 targets for 91 yards and a TD. This made up for his last 2 games. Prospect bowl game 2 has yet to happen but Sean Robinson is destined for a big night tonight.
So Sean Robinson has had a successful football life by using his catching skills to pave the way to the DSFL and hopefully one day the ISFL. His 76 rated hands are best in the class and he will continue to improve as his career goes on. That is the story of an up and coming star WR named Sean Robinson. HE CATCHES EVERYTHING!!
