J.T. Kurbis took some flak from the media recently after how he handled a seemingly innocuous question in his press conference after the Wraiths Week 1 victory over Sarasota.
“So, J.T, this last year was your first year getting selected to the league All-pro teams. How do you feel about that?”
You know, it feels good to finally be recognized. But I’m kind of peeved in the same vein. Two years ago I led the whole league in pancakes for all OTs. But I got hit with 4 sacks allowed? I didn’t allow 4 sacks! But the voters looked at that on the stat sheet, and they said “Oh, well this guy allowed 4 sacks, blah blah blah.” It’s stupid. And did you know the year before that I was 4th in the league in pancakes? Still no All-pro shout there! What do you gotta do to please these people, you know what I’m saying? Anyways, yeah, it’s good to finally be recognized. At least.
