During the off season Brandon was moved from guard to tackle. A difficult switch. But coming off his all pro season, he knew he could do it. He went about his typical routines in preparing for games. His first few games, he was not satisfied with his performance. Few pancakes and 2 sacks allowed. So he changed up his preparation. Started hitting the weights harder to be able to over power opponents. He started to work on his feet and hands techniques. He needed faster feet coming off the edge dealing with some of the faster, more agile defensive ends or outside linebackers. He tried to focus harder on film to try and learn cues opponents might give without knowing they are. Anything to help give himself an advantage. After incorporating these changes, Brandon has had much more success as a tackle and hopes to be able to continue this trend.
So my secret for growth this season has been my diet. I eat at least a pound of cheese a week and it has propelled me into the player I have been this year even my whole team has gotten in on the cheese eating. In the lead up to week three I received I great wheel of camembert from our awesome receiver Plant Based it was so good they suggested I eat it with a fresh baguette which was amazing. After week four another of our great receivers Oliver Tolliver brought me an amazing chunk of brie that we just ate with a few crackers. After our week six victory in which the defense only allowed seven points my defensive captain Mary Marie brought me some of the freshest mozzarella I have ever had it was quite the treat. Lastly after a tough Portland lost my buddies on the D-line Action and Scruffy brought me the most amazing thing I had never had it's called the stinking bishop it was so good and my locker drawer still smells like it three weeks later.

Tywrell had always been a dedicated football player, spending countless hours practicing and training to improve his skills on the field. This season, he knew he needed to do more if he wanted to take his game to the next level, this is why he decided to focus on improving himself off the field as well. Tywrell started by changing his diet, cutting out junk food and replacing it with healthy, nutrient-rich foods that would give him the energy he needed to perform at his best. He also started working with a personal trainer, who helped him develop a workout routine that focused on building strength and endurance. In addition to his physical training, Tywrell also made a point to improve his mental game. He started meditating every morning, which helped him clear his mind and stay focused during games. He also started reading books on sports psychology, learning how to stay calm under pressure and maintain a positive mindset. Without having a laser sharp focus - one can lose the drive to succeed quickly.
Lesnar arrived at the Bondi camp, and began to get to work. The main work he's been doing over his first few weeks has been focusing on his blocking technique. In the air-read heavy Bondi offense, he's been working on making sure he doesn't let his defender by.
He's taken advice from his teammates, but also found himself surprised to be at a decent level already. Apart from that, he's also studied the playbook, having to learn the new plays and new system on offense. He's also been hitting the weight room, looking to increase his strength on the side. He's been working to beat some PR's, and the rest of the locker-room has been there to help. Off the field and weight room, he's done a lot of studying on how defense is being played in the ISFL. It's admittedly taken adjustment for him jumping from the college level to the DSFL, so he's looking to get better and learn how to react even better. It's already seen some success with his second game, and he's focused for the ret of the playoff push.
Bonzi Buddy was certainly putting in the effort this year to improve his game. One of the most notable changes has been his commitment to outdoor workouts, which have helped him to build strength and endurance. This is an important aspect of his training, as it will enable him to perform at a high level for longer periods of time. Another area of focus for Bonzi Buddy has been his coverage skills. In the past, he was accustomed to covering slower slot receivers, but he has had to adjust his technique to keep up with faster players like PeePee Poop-Eater Sr. This has been a challenge, but Bonzi Buddy has risen to the occasion and put in the work to improve his game. There is a lot of skills bonzi need to improve in order to really make it to be a super star in this league however i believe that he has been on the right path too stardom
Kairo Knight's second season with the Bondi Beach Buccaneers has been nothing short of remarkable. Working closely with QB Smokin' Jay and the rest of the receiving room like Plant Based and Oliver Tolliver has been a case of iron sharpening iron. Going into the week 13 game, Knight is top 5 in receiving yards, and tied for first in touchdowns. He has become a weapon on the field and that's thanks to his teammates and the new rookies incoming. Knowing now that he's no longer a rookie, the nerves of his first season have been shaken off and Knight's now looking to become an example of what success can look like in the DSFL. If he hadn't had a chip on his shoulder from the less-than-stellar season he had before, Knight may not have been able to find as much success as he has now. Working with coaches and teammates in order to adapt to new strategies, as well as keeping his emotions and fundamentals in check within the redzone, Kairo Knight has worked to become a massive threat this season and for future seasons to come.
Rodney Rosadino came into this league without knowing too much and got by on pure athleticism before turning over to the more mental aspect of the game. Sure he would hit the weight room whenever the team did and off and on by himself to make sure he was keeping up with the best of them but what put him over the top in his mind was studying the game film from every game immediately after the game to fix his mistakes and to turn his attention to the next opponent and begin studying them as fast as possible so he could pick up on opposing offenses tendencies. Rosadino took his coach's advice to heart and thanks to the wonderful staff at KCC, they have turned him into a legitimate threat on their defense, with his newfound approach to the mental and physical preparation for his opponents. Rosadino hopes to make a high impact at the ISFL level.

Legs has spent most of the season focusing on cardio. At the start of the season, he constantly found himself getting gassed early into games. But after hitting the treadmill, his coach tells him his endurance is almost to 60. While this seems like an incredibly arbitrary number (and Legs has no idea how his coach is measuring his endurance into a single number), coach is adamant that once he hits that number, he'll stay on the field longer.
Finding it difficult to train cardio when he has no heart to pump blood, he's looking for other ways to get better. He has focused on a new running style that is more 'fwoosh' than 'wshhhh'. This stuns opposing teams and allows Legs to more gracefully move past them. It also allows him to retain more energy that he can unleash near the end of the game! Haters will call this meaningless. Real ones will respect this drastic change to Legs' game. |
