Well, I have only played in one game and I have as many pancakes as I do catches, but that was before I got into the gym and started working on refining my skills! Besides, that one game I played in was a very key game for us at this point in the season. While we did lose, we kept it close and did pretty good against a team that nobody expected us to beat at all, so I applaud the boys for that. This week I predict I get more targets and I get my first Touchdown of my young career, sending my draft stock sky high! I want to be picked in the first two rounds of the draft, and I think that will happen with a good performance the rest of the way, something I think can most certainly happen with how well my boys are playing around me right now. I will make Papa Wheat very proud!

Through 7 weeks, Really Creative-Name finds himself in an interesting position...His team sucks. No sugar coating it. Berlin is 1-6 despite aggressively trading to win now in the window of their quarterback's prime. Yet, he's having the season of his life. Averaging nearly 100 receiving yards per game, Creative-Name is second in the league in receiving yards with a massive 15.3 yards per reception. He's a home run hitter and he's absolutely killing it. The touchdowns have been nothing special, but on a team with two "superior receivers" in Mada and Dangle, Creative-Name is the one leading the way in receiving yards thus far this year. Is this sustainable? Who knows. But that's the bold prediction (or overreaction) of this post. Come the end of the year, despite being clearly the 3rd best receiver on his team, Really Creative-Name will lead the Fire Salamanders in receiving yards and be a top 5 receiver in the entire league. I dare say it's gonna get him a hefty extension, too. This is exactly the type of performance you want to see in a contract year.
I don’t want to brag too much but I’m literally a pass rush god for Kansas City right now and its probably why the team is 3-1 to start the year. I’ve got 4 sacks in 4 games which means I’m on pace to finish with double digits which is always nice to see. I’m so good at defense that I’m even doing the cornerbacks job as well where I’m defending passes and even picking them off as well. On offense Jake Jefferson is literally the best quarterback to ever do it, because they very much have that coyote in them. They may never throw another interception again, ignore the four currently on the stat sheet those are fake. Overall I think Kansas City is the best team that the DSFL has ever seen. We’re a lock for the Ultimini or whatever its called down here. You said to overreact so I’m just doing what I do best.

Being real, RE #38 has been in the zone. Sigma Grind mode the first few weeks. He got off social media. Spends all day at the Bondi Beach facility and only sleeping at home. He's studying film. Taking ice baths. Motivating teammates. Practice, practice practice. They've shut off the TVs. We don't need the outside noise. We aren't worried about what the "experts" are saying. Most of them have never touched a football. It's time to focus on each other. As teammates and as brothers and sisters. Only move forward.
RE #38 has seen improvement. But after week 1 there was only one way to go. And that was up. He's feeling better game after game. Starting to gel with the offense and receivers. For only being a QB for about a month or so, he would say it is going pretty good. It's not longer about wins and losses anymore. It's about growing as a team and getting better.
Let’s take a quick look at Hank’s four week career in the DSFL. Hank got started with the Grey Ducks at a crazy fast pace. In week one against the Portland Pythons Hank had 5 catches for 71 yards, averaging 14.2 yards and he even got a 1 Touchdown. Hank’s outstanding game 1 performance helped the Ducks take home the opening win 35-28. Unfortunately for me and the Ducks, Hank’s performance wouldn’t reach similar heights in the next three games. In game 2 Hank received 7 targets but only managed to catch 3 of the passes. Though for Hank’s sake he did manage 77 yards on those three receptions. This included a stellar 65-yard reception. It wasn’t enough though and the Ducks fell to London 40-21. Weeks three and four saw Hank fall to a new low totaling 45 yards over 6 carries. Fortunately, Hank isn’t the only player on Minnesota’s offense and the rest of the team picked up the slack and the Ducks won out weeks 3 and 4 and currently sit at the top of the table in the DSFL North. As we move through the season I don’t see that changing any time soon.
Oh the Hahalua have DEFINITELY sold their souls to the devil! So have CTC and YKW, but I'm calling my shot right now. I don't think there's a single team in the ISFL that can beat YKW when it comes down to the playoffs. The Hahalua have capitalized on a pretty weird season so far and great for them. Cape Town Crash have had a nice year so far too. But if there is one team, that when everything evens out, is my favorite to win it all... It's the Yellowknife Wraiths. Between their running game and their passing game there are few defenses in the ISFL that are going to be able to stop them the rest of the way. And I get to watch it all the way from NOLA with a song in my heart and a smile on my face knowing that in a few seasons, that's going to be us as well.
It has certainly been an interesting season so far for Fat Jack and the San Jose Sabercats. The team as a whole has been okay sporting now a .500 record and looking to be in position for a potential playoff run and then hopefully an Ultimus run as well. San Jose's offense has been lacking a little bit this season at least through the first 7 games but the defense ranks amongst one of the best in the league especially against the run. The team gives up just 61.4 rushing yards per game which is or at least was the best in the entire ISFL. Their big defensive tackle, Fat Jack, has certainly been a part of that. However, he is certainly not holding up on his end statistically as the big DT out of Northern Arizona University lacks the stats and has been more of a silent help it appears. Jack, in what should be a real nice season for him, has only totaled 1 sack and 1 tackle for loss on the season through the first 7 games which is super low especially for a player his caliber. However, I would like to think that Jack's ability to eat up blocks has been epic which has helped the linebackers and other members of the defensive line so Fat Jack for MVP!
Former players:
QB Joliet Christ Jr. (HON/BER) (1x Ultimus Champ)
WR Deondre Thomas-Fox (SJS) (2x Ultimus Champ)
QB Joliet L. Christ (SJS) (Hall of Fame) (1x Ultimus Champ)
Turd Burglar has turned in some impressive performances in his Rookie campaign. While allowing his fair share of big plays on the field, his short term memory has proven beneficial to him and his play. He also had some hiccups early in the training room. Coming from such a small town can have its negatives but after his 3rd game some of his fellow teammates stepped up and helped him along and expect him to make a big leap in the coming weeks. Just last week he earned defensive player of the game and the week before he got the defensive game ball. Real champions stack success so we will see how he rounds out the second half of the season. Not sure how many people knew who Turd Burglar was coming into the season but I can guarantee they will know who he is when the season ends. The sky is the limit for him and the London Royals who would never sell their soul.
After being traded from the Berlin Fire Salamanders to the New Orleans Secondline, neither team has shown improvement over the other. And while that's a bummer it shows that both of these teams took the initiative to improve or change their team for the future. However, that change has yet to be seen in the first half of the season. I love my new team and I've started 6 games this which is just 3 below what I started last season so with me getting more playing time this is doing a lot for my player's stats and morale. I've scored 26 tackles, 2 sacks, and 11 pass deflections which has been running higher on all these stats than I did the entire last season. It looks like I could double up on these stats! My goal for the 2nd half of the season is to get 25 more tackles, 3 more sacks, 10 more pass deflections, and 2 INTERCEPTIONS! I think it's possible on my new team! Also, I'm predicting we pick up wins in at least 4 of our next 8 games!
