As the halfway point of the season passes, Craig Brand has certainly had a tumultuous but ultimately successful start to his rookie campaign in the ISFL. Coming fresh from a dramatic and somewhat controversial trade deal that saw him move from the Colorado Yeti to the Cape Town Crash, Brand has quickly cemented himself as a regular contributor in the already somewhat impressive defensive efforts of the purple boys from Cape Town.
Individually, Brand looks to build on a strong first half of the season and attempt to make a push for consideration as Defensive Rookie of the Year. He's already amongst the pack, but with a strong second half could even see him claim his place as the favourite in the running, although he does face some superb competition. As for the Crash, they find themselves amidst the top of a competitive division, already eyeing up game plans and shoring up strategies, all in the hopes of a solid post season play off run. Will they get there? We'll see.
