The New York silverbacks have been more or less a complete joke this year. As with last year, they won their first outing, but slid afterwards. They now sit at 3-7, already near playoff elimination in just week 11. As for 3rd year player Donte Darius, he is not quite the pro bowl caliber player the Silverbacks hoped he would be when they drafted him in the first round of the S39 draft, but he has improved every year he has played. After posting triple digit tackles for the first time in his career last season, Darius has upped his game this year. Though he only has 56 tackles in 10 games, he has made up for it with 4 sacks, as well as a forced fumble and 2 fumble recoveries. As the season starts winding down, it’ll be interesting to see how Darius finishes his 3rd season in the league.
