ISFL coaches might not know about incoming wide receiver prospect Jarad Marshall, but one thing is clear as day. The UNC graduate is blindingly fast, and opposing coaches publicly spoke about the challenge of keeping him in check, with Dabo Swinney of Clemson lamenting that "when hell freezes over and the sky falls in, Marshall will still be flying past defenses from Boston to Blacksburg and anywhere in between." But just how fast is he? Let's compare his speed to various items and see how he stacks up.
Opposing Defensive Backs: No contest, Marshall reigns supreme. An anonymous Duke cornerback seemed in awe of his freakish speed in an interview, calling him a "future legend" and musing that "he'll torch more defenses than the wildfires in Canada". Those wildfires never stood a chance.
Other Wide Receivers: Marshall ran a 4.4 40 at his pro day... on stilts. That should tell you all you need to know. He is electric.
Jordan Addison's Lamborghini: Unimpressive, according to Marshall. "140 in a 55 zone? Those are rookie numbers."
Sonic the Hedgehog: Sonic doesn't have any TPE! Marshall, and it's not even close.
Sound: In a few years, Marshall might be faster than the speed of sound, but for now, he'll have to settle for a close second.
And that just about does it! Marshall will hope to hear his name called in August 3's DSFL Draft and get an opportunity to show off his skills to the world. See you next time!
