If I was commissioner of this league for the day and there was absolutely no way I could get out of it, I would begrudgingly set about making some changes that I think would benefit my own sanity. First, I would categorically permaban anybody who uses a discriminatory slur. No second chances. Secondly, I would permaban anybody who is a sore loser. Thirdly, I would permaban garbage men who tone police women who are rightfully angry about the way they have been talked down to and had their voices and ideas silenced in ways that men never have to put up with. Fourthly, I would make sure that when regression gets posted, the individual users who are regressing get pinged about it because it's silly that they aren't. Fifthly, I would get rid of this weird "banked TPE" thing that you get when you switch positions because that's just beyond confusing. Sixthly, I would make regression way less insane. Right now you might as well just say "screw them players, we don't want anybody to even remotely have a chance to get attached to their player" and it feels like a real Logan's Run situation (if you have not watched Logan's Run, the basic premise is that in the society of the movie, people are ceremonially executed when they turn thirty so the society can remain young and beautiful forever. It gets really weird after that, but anyway, yeah, that's the vibe I get from regression here). After making all of these changes, I would immediately retire and leave whatever unfortunate person takes over for me to clean up the messes that inevitably ensue from all of the people getting pissy and angry that I made the changes in the first place, and probably saying a bunch of stupid stuff about how I had the audacity to suggest that any of the criticism was because I am a woman.

20. Savathûn the Witchqueen is the ultimate team player because not only does she go out there and give 110 percent for her teammates, she also will just straight up devour anybody who looks at them weird. In fact, her team managers have often been told by officials that they have to make her stop eating the souls of people who have the unmitigated gall to tackle her teammates or sack her quarterback or whatever, and her managers have just told the officials that Savathûn is not an entity that one human football manager could possibly hope to control. They are always trying to teach her the correct etiquette for eating people's souls, but it never really seems to stick. She will say she understands, but then the next game she's right back to her "LET ME EAT THE SOUL OF THAT AUDACIOUS MAN WHO HAS TACKLED OUR QUARTERBACK" nonsense. It's not really ideal for morale around the league but it certainly does show her teammates that she has their backs.

2. Tell us about your draft class. Is there anything that makes it special in comparison to other classes? Where did your fellow draftees land, how are they doing? Did anyone turn out to be an unexpected steal of that draft based on what you know today? Do you think anyone in your draft class will become a hall of famer? If you’re new to the league, how do you think your class will do? Where do you think people will get drafted to?

I am one of a handful of users who have only created in large Reddit classes (by which I mean, specifically classes that were advertised on the r/nfl subreddit) - first, the Season 25 class on my first player, Peter Patterson, followed by the Season 36 class with my current player, Leandre Diarra. These types of classes are relatively rare across the entire history of the International Simulation Football League, but I find them very interesting to discuss especially with the benefit of historical context. The Season 25 class is the 3rd largest in ISFL history, following only the incredibly huge Season 22 class (which, contrary to popular belief, was recruited largely before COVID lockdowns were put in place in the United States) as well as the original Season 1 class which was only a few creates larger. Season 36 was the 4th largest class in ISFL history, just after S25 (but a solid 20ish creates fewer), so just in terms of the raw quantity of people who joined, S25 is clearly superior.

Due to its size, S25 also directly led to the expansion of the league with the addition of the Berlin Fire Salamanders and the New York Silverbacks, the last two teams to be added to the league over 17 seasons ago. Season 36, on the other hand, was the largest class in the prior 11 seasons (almost 2 IRL years), meaning that its infusion of large numbers of new users was much more vital to the league's continued success but also had less of an ability to push an expansion of the league. In fact, even after being followed with the similarly large Season 41 class a few seasons later, the league is still not particularly close to seeing another expansion to 16 teams. So it can more easily be said that Season 36's success prevented the league from needing to consider contraction.

In terms of the class's impact on the league, I am somewhat surprised that we have not seen as many S36 users assume leadership positions or otherwise generate change around the league as we did in S25. S25 had an extremely prolific output of DSFL GM's in particular, as I can easily name off the top of my head: myself, Katarn, zEagle, Kotasa, Frazzle, Glims, WhatAmUs, Jimi, Rev, AskedMadden, tMosura, UberBJ, Crodyman, and I'm sure several others I'm forgetting. Many ISFL GM's have also traced back to that class, including several former GMs like zayn and Arkz, r0tzbua (see I knew I was forgetting some more DSFL GMs as he definitely did that too), and Kotasa and Frazzle again. Not to mention that the current commissioner of the league hails from S25! Meanwhile, S36 has had slower uptake with Repgnar, Chappy, and LordCoolcats basically representing the entire class at the ISFL level (although there have been many other DSFL GMs like Alikh, Chucky/Artix, soevil, and TwoSocks(?) that haven't (yet) had the chance to GM at the ISFL level). Surprisingly, no currnet members of either Head Office originally created as part of the S36 class. Even just a few seasons after their creation I feel like we've already seen more contributions coming in aggregate from the more recent S41 class.

This isn't to denigrate any individual users from any class, as there are tons of amazing users in every class. But looking at the whole picture of these classes a few seasons down the road, as the Season 36 creates enter their first round of regression, it seems like the overall impact may be a bit understated relative to the raw number of new users who joined the league at the time when compared to other historically large classes. It's interesting to reflect on why this might be the case, and if there is anything in the recruitment/onboarding process which might influence these outcomes that the league could change to create more engagement.

17. Going to Disney World! Who was the Ultimus or Ultimini Game MVP? Give us a rundown of their celebratory trip to Disney World.

The MVP of the ultimini would have to be Maximus Boudreaux, the quarterback of the Norfolk Seawolves. Boudreaux came out swinging, posting a stat line of 14/22 with 258 yards, 3 touchdowns, and no interceptions. These touchdowns were evenly distributed, with one being hauled in by each of Avant, David, and Lavote jr. This offensive explosion from the general on that side of the ball helped propel the Seawolves to a close, come from behind victory of 24-17. Our big league MVP goes to none other than Sherwin Blue jr. Sherwin came out rushing for a measly 42 yards on 19 attempts, but was able to find the end zone twice on the ground. He followed up with another 45 yards through the air on 7 catches, finding the end zone one more time there for a total of 3 touchdowns on the day. Sherwin could pat himself on the back that night knowing he played a pivotal role in bringing Arizona another Ultimus.

24. You’re in charge of entertainment for the Ultimus or Ultimini half-time show. What would you do?

For entertainment for the half time show, I am going to bring in an entire cirque du soleil act. That’s right, we’re going to have high flying acrobatics and dangerous trapeze sets. Bright colors will fill the dome as the performers take the stage, putting on an act that they have delivered hundreds if not thousands of times, but never before to a worldwide audience, captivated on the biggest night in entertainment on television. This is quite different from the usual musical act that is put on at these events, but I think this will appeal to more people than music from one genre could ever hope to. See this way we don’t have to worry about people not liking rap, or people not liking rock, these are performers and entertainers doing what they do best. Hopefully this will not only bring eyes to our football product, but more eyes to the cirque product around the world as well.

28. Football is a game that has been going on for a while, loved by fans all over. But what if you were able to make some rule changes? Talk us through your new version of football, and what would be different and why?

Now that I am in charge and have decided to release Football 2, the two biggest rule changes will be no human referees and no kickoffs. Refereeing will be replaced by a sky judge and virtual referees that will still be able to start and stop play and deliver rulings on penalties remotely. This will allow our referees many more angles and the referee team many more eyes to hopefully close up on the consistency problems that have been plaguing our umpire force. The second of the rule changes, the removal of the kickoff, focuses on player safety. The kickoff is the most dangerous play in football and it needs to go. Instead of a kick off, teams will simply receive the football at the 25 yard line, as if a touchback had occurred. If this proved to be an issue down the road, then we can cross that bridge when we get there but we should have no problems in the near future with it.

33. When looking at the teams we have in the ISFL and DSFL, is there any team you believe is in need of a major rebrand or update to their current branding? Why or why not?

Well this is an easy one for me. There are two teams, both in the ISFL, that are in need of rebranding and those two would be the Yellowknife Wraiths and the Chicago Butchers. This is not because I think their logo is ugly or because I think their location is weird or anything like that, but rather because those assets are not ours to be using. These teams are the only ones that still remain unrepresented in the all important ISFL merch shop, and have 0 stock in the acrylic block game as of right now. If we were going off of teams that need a rebrand due to preferences though, I would have to say Dallas. I don’t like them and think their branding should be fired into the sun in favor of the Dumperstown Full Diapers. Because they stink and belong in the dumpster. Bang bang, lion gang.

19. Your team has announced that they will be laying ground on a new stadium next season. What additions would you like to see included in it. (Written Task)

While it may have come to a surprise to some that the New York Silverbacks – one of the newest franchises in the ISFL – are seeking bids for a new stadium, the team knows it is time for some updates to the Concrete Jungle. The first and most important being the inclusion of a banana stand as a feature concession. There are many reasons why a banana stand is an important investment in the team’s brand, fans, and players. Reason 1 (for the brand): Apes like bananas and the team mascot is, after all, an ape. Reason 2 (for the fans): There is always money in the banana stand. How do we know this? We’ve overheard season pass-holders exiting their reserve boxes remarking to one another about how much they would enjoy a fancy banana treat as they watch the Silverbacks play their home games, flippantly remarking that they couldn’t cost more than $10. $10 for a fancy banana? Just think of the profits! And Reason 3 (for the team): Potassium will help prevent cramps and keep players fighting fit.


27. Imagine your current position was not available to be picked when you created your player. What other position would you have picked, and why? (Written Task)

Lionel Scrimmage was born (and named) to play football. And not just to play football, but to be right up on the front line, face-to-face with the opponent, at the center of the action as soon as the play kicks off. So it’s hard for him to imagine playing at any position other than defensive line. However, if he were hard pressed to pick a different position it would have to be on the other side of that line: the offensive side. As an offensive lineman, Lionel would still be able to look the opponent in the eye and engage in all the mental and physical sparring that entails. He would still get to focus on foot placement, hand fighting, and balancing of body weight – all aspects of strategy and training in which Lionel excels. And he wouldn’t have to diet, the only form of personal discipline that has failed Lionel since his childhood.

23. What are your thoughts on the sim engine? What sort of improvements would you make to the sim engine if given the opportunity? (Written Task)

I kind of got over how the sim engine looks. Over time I've come to gripes with it and honestly just love seeing those dots sprinting down the field. I think the behind the scenes engine is fine. I don't think there is anything wrong with it, but then again I'm not someone that does any testing. I feel like you don't get the crazy highs or lows that SHL and PBE give you. Usually teams that are rebuilding know they are and the good teams are the good teams. I think the playoffs are insanely random but other than that I think the sim runs great. I still wish we had some more archetypes or new traits so maybe that is the next iterations. I would love for them to make the dotts maybe more 3d and get away from the 2d animation. I think that could take the sim to the next level and really grow the numbers.

27. Imagine your current position was not available to be picked when you created your player. What other position would you have picked, and why? (Written Task)

I would definitely go tight end. I wanted to make a tight end with my first player but didn't. I want linebacker to defensive end and we all know how that ended. I love making tight ends in Madden and love using them ever year. I love that they can block their butts off and then catch passes too. Travis Kelce is bad ass. Gronk was a machine. There are some crazy good real life tight ends. So I think instead of making a wide receiver I like the diversity of tight end and the fact that my player can be fantasy relevant is great too. Plus it feels like there are really only 1 or 2 great tight ends every year. So it would be nice to play a position that less people tend to pick. I'm all for position scarcity and picking positions of needs for teams. I want to go 1OA with one of my players so maybe it could be my new tight end.

34. New players join our teams every season, so which of those new players made the biggest impact on the field for your team? (Written Option)

I think AW joining the team midseason was huge. He was a large part of why our defense was so great. We had a gap on the d line and AW filled that the second half of the season. I am glad he is still around and our defense should continue to be fantastic. Wizard Literal is another user that is amazing in the sim and in the locker room. He played great defense all year and is very active in the locker room and around the league. I THINK it was his first year but I could be wrong. He our new GM as well so definitely a great newer acquisition. Sean Robinson was another great addition to the team. He had some great games behind McHollywood and Mara. He was very sneak getting up in the slot and had some nice long receptions as well. We have a nice blend of newer guys that mesh with the older vets. Falco sits in neither of those categories.

1) Another year, another season in sim land. This time however, this was anything but an ordinary sim season. For the DSFL, the Norfolk Seawolves, after a bit of a title drought, have finally been able to recapture the title, through many games that have been blowouts in favor of the wolves. For the ISFL, the stinky Outlaws yet again were able to capture the title, making it not only their fourth ring in the past six seasons but also another back to back ring run for the team, extending their eternal dynasty of ISFL despair. Let's see how both teams came to an both leagues.

For the DSFL, the Norfolk Seawolves had a great season as they managed to go 11-3 and clinch the best record in the league. They definitely had a great offense and a great defense. On offense,  the Seawolves scored 27.0 points per game, great for second in the league, averaged 365.1 yards per game, averaged 92.1 rushing yards per game, second worst in the league, and averaged 272.9 passing yards per game, good for fourth best in the league. On defense, the Seawolves allowed only 18.7 points per game, great for the best in the league, allowed 370.3 yards per game, good for fifth in the league, allowed 114.0 rushing yards per game, good for sixth best in the league, and allowed 256.3 passing yards per game, good for third best in the league. In the semi-finals, the Seawolves matched against the defending cChamps,the Luchadores in the first round. The match was not close as the Wolves doubled the score of the Luchadores, 38-19, to advance to the Ultimini where they would face against the Minnesota Grey Ducks in the Ultimini. In the Ultimini, the Wolves were down 17-0 before scoring 24 straight to achieve victory and secure a title in the DSFL.

For the ISFL, the Arizona Outlaws had another great season as usual as they managed to go 13-3 and clinch the best record in the league for the fourth time in the past six seasons. The Outlaws definitely had a great offense and a great defense that both outclassed the league. On offense, the Outlaws scored 28.7 points per game, great for best in the league, averaged 389.2 yards per game, good for fourth best in the league, averaged 141.9 rushing yards per game, great for best in the league, and averaged 247. 2 passing yards per game, good for elevent best in the league. On defense, the Outlaws allowed only 18.7 points per game, great for the best in the league, allowed 325.3 yards per game, good for second best in the league, allowed 66.0 rushing yards per game, good for best in the league, and allowed 258.7 passing yards per game, good for 7th best in the league. In the semi-finals, the Outlaws played against the Honolulu Hahalua. Unfortunately if you wanted the Outlaws to lose, this didn't happen as the Outlaws humiliated the Hahalua to the final score of 34-10, advancing to another Ultimus in their franchise. In the Ultimus, the Outlaws faced the Berlin Fire Salamanders in the Ultimus after the Salamanders had an upset run after beating the Baltimore Hawks and the Cape Town Crash. Berlin probably wished it was easy but unfortunately the Outlaws humiliated the Salamanders to the final score of 38-14, thus winning their fourth Ultimus in six seasons, furthering their eternal, zombie dynasty. 

All in all, this was an ok season by both leagues' standards. For the Seawolves, they managed to climb back to the top relatively quickly, while the Outlaws continue to maintain the dynasty in the league to no end! Wonder how S43 will shape for both leagues!

I think that there are a multitude of things that could be improved as far as the sim engine goes, as well as the live display of its results. The first thing I've noticed is that the sim doesn't seem to calculate when to be making risky plays well. A team could be down a bunch of points in the fourth quarter, but unless the clock is on the last few minutes, the losing team won't change their strategy in order to take bigger chances like running the ball which would be necessary to win the game. Things like that, calculating when to take risky plays needs better fine tuning, especially in crucial moments of the game when you can tell the sim is going to do something silly and hurting your team's chances of winning. Visually, I think that the interceptions are very underwhelming. Seeing the interception actually played out would be much more interesting than just seeing a bar on the screen.

Aaron Jager's rookie year in the ISFL has been a rollercoaster of highs and lows. As a newcomer to the league, he faced the challenges of adapting to the faster pace, as well as stronger defenses. It was evident from the start that this season would be a challenging for him. The aren't all that many highlights for Jager to look back on this season. He had a few good games, making impressive catches and scoring a few touchdowns. However, these rare moments of glory were overshadowed by the overall mediocrity of the team's performance and Jager's individual struggles. The lower points of the season were abundant. Jager faced setbacks with dropped passes, missed opportunities, and difficulty in connecting with the quarterback. The transition from crushing DSFL games to the ISFL stage proved more challenging than he had anticipated. 

Reflecting on the season, Jager recognizes that there are areas he could have improved upon. One area in particular that he struggled with was drops, which he decided to dedicate much of his offseason training in order to minimize. Looking ahead to season fourty three, Jager remains determined and optimistic. He understands that having a middling season isn't a death sentence for his career, and this tough year has provided valuable lessons. However, that doesn't stop him from being disappointed in himself and his performance this season. Jager is committed to putting in the work during the offseason to refine his skills to make up for his shortcomings.

While his rookie year may have been marked by mediocrity, Jager is eager to prove himself in the upcoming season and rack up some points. He is hungry for success and determined to make a significant impact on the team's performance. With the experience gained from this challenging season, Jager looks forward to a brighter future, where he can leave his mark as a standout wide receiver in the ISFL.

The Orange County Otters undeniably boast the best branding in the league, easily identifyable from their orange and white color scheme. The branding of the Orange County Otters extends beyond just their colors. Their logo, which prominently features an otter in a head on pose, perfectly captures the team's competitive spirit.

Moreover, the otter's association with water and aquatic environments also ties into the team's location in Orange County, known for its coastal setting. This clever connection to the local surroundings adds a level of authenticity to the branding, fostering a stronger sense of pride and support among the community.

Furthermore, the Orange County Otters are currently a young team that's due to be a powerhouse in the league in a few years. This draws parallels between the sea otter which used to be prevalent in Orange County, which have been increasing in numbers slowly over the past few decades.

It could be related to statistics, a league issue that you take seriously, or a niche part of history that doesn’t fit neatly into either of the above categories. This must be directly related to the league, so don’t wax 600 words about your team’s participation on a Werewolf server or something.



Back when I first found this league, it could not have come at a better time.  It was in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic and it felt like the entire world had gone mad.  I still remember going to the grocery store and shelves and bins being empty and feeling overwhelming dread everywhere I went.  I somehow stumbled upon this place and figured with the extra time off work, I could devote some energy to this.  Talk about an all-time great decision.  The immediate benefit was that this league helped me take my mind off everything that was going on around us, which I sorely needed.  My wife works in healthcare so it was a struggle during the entire pandemic and this place brought me some distraction and solace that fit like a puzzle piece.  Not to mention that the people I encountered when I first joined could not have been nicer.  I still come in contact with most of them, whether it's in ISFL or the other associated leagues and I hope they know how appreciative I am of their welcome.  I probably asked 10,000 questions when I first joined, but every single one of them got an answer.  When I first created I wasn't sure about my activity level, but what I love about this place is you can succeed with varying levels of involvement.  Busy week and you only have a couple hours to do league stuff that week?  No problem.  Lighter workload and you want to go all in and dive head first into league lore? Awesome.  Plus, there was never any pressure from anyone to have any certain level of activity.  That honestly made me want to be that much more active.  This quickly grew into something even more meaningful as I made really good friends on the Silverbacks and I've ended up sharing locker rooms with them across the sim leagues in the seasons that have come to pass.  While we're no longer in the middle of a global pandemic, I don't see this place any differently than I used to.  It's something that has become a beloved part of my routine and there's just something about the camaraderie here that I have a hard time explaining.  We all know we don't have complete control over our player and even max earning isn't a ticket to tons of trophies or league accolades. I think that's what unites us and keeps us together. We know that we're at the mercy of a very fickle sim engine and we're just doing the best we can.  That's why I've always prioritized an active, healthy locker room over anything when it comes to being scouted for drafts.  There will be times when your player inexplicably plays poorly.  When the output does not match your TPE level or the amount of blood, sweat, and tears that you've poured into them. And during those times, you better have a good locker room to be your backbone.  You better have people around you that offer support, commiseration, and are understanding of the frustrations that come for us all at some point.  I've told this to scouts, but it's my firm belief that if you're not having a good time in your locker room, you're not going to have a good time period.  Individual success only takes you so far in this league, especially when the roster is made up of a bunch of different positions, all trying to work hard to accomplish one common goal.  I'm fortunate that everywhere I've been has had a great locker room, great support system, and hasn't minded too much when I hit those frustration walls.  All that to say - thank you for this league, the people who run it, and everyone who I've encountered along the way. Hopefully I have a long career with this player, full of excitement, joy, and camaraderie. (648 words)

8. My experience in the ISFL has been nothing short of amazing. While real life has been encroaching on my ISFL career, I have still had such a fun time in my first season. I have really enjoyed the community on both of the teams I've been on, which have been in Tijuana and NOLA. 

The obvious people that jump to mind are WWizard and baz, the management of Tijuana when I was there. They both made it so easy to succeed, and we had a really special run to the Ultimini that year.
I couldn't make a list of people who have had an impact without mentioning @swoosh. Dude goes hard and really elevates everyone around him. I think my time in the league would have been a lot less fun without lucking out and getting to be on the same team as this guy in the DSFL and ISFL.
All in all, I have had absolutely no complaints or bad run-ins with anyone in the DSFL or ISFL. I've enjoyed being teammates with everyone so far.
  
However, it's hard to say that I'm satisfied with how things have gone. I've had my real life flare up and limit my free time, which has given me serious FOMO over earning. I think I had a passable but disappointing rookie season, but I understand that it was mostly out of my control. Maybe I could've squeezed a few more point tasks out in the shower? I'm not sure. I'm ready to try and go hard again like I did in my DSFL season, and maybe then I'll be able to say I'm satisfied. 

In closing, I think that the ISFL is great. I'm constantly impressed by the logistics that go into making the league run. At this time, I have no suggestions.


33. I think NOLA could use a slight rebranding. I think the skeleton has become a more iconic representation of the team than the horn, the band, or the Fleur-de-lis. Maybe we can compromise and have the main mascot be the skeleton playing the horn and leading the band?   
  
In all seriousness, I do really like NOLA's branding. I think the colors suit the vibe really well, and it's a really good name. However, I think the club emblem-style logo might be a bit dated when compared to other teams logos in the ISFL like the Outlaw, Hahalua, the Wraiths, and the Sailfish. It's mostly just personal preference, but I guess I just like logos that feature mascots more than club emblem-style logos. If I were to suggest a design for a new logo, I would say to have it be the skeleton intimidatingly playing the trumpet with "New Orleans" above it and "Secondline" below it.

S41 is an interesting class of players and users alike. Even in its 3 seasons and 3/4th of a year irl, its been able to become a big and important class to the ISFL. 3 people for s41 already hold ISFL Positions, Baz for the New Orleans Second Line; Wizard_Literal for the New York Silverbacks; and UptownCord for the Orange County Otters. In the DSFL, 7 out of 8 teams have a completely new S41 User at one of the GM positions, Myself/Ultimate at Tijuana; JDC at Kansas City; LtHudz at Minnesota, Toofpete at Portland; aeonsjenni at Bondi Beach; Cycro at Dallas. The only team not to have a new s41 user at GM is Norfolk, even though Gumbaman has an S41 player, he created his first player in S27. Newcreates in S41 account for 43.75% of GM’s in the DSFL, and  22.72% of all GM’s across all of the ISFL/DSFL sim. However all of this GM talk is just talking about positions of power, and I think talking about the entirety of the class as a whole is much more interesting and makes for a better discussion point. In the DSFL draft for the s41 class, there was 116 pick in total, however, throughout the season, there were 18 waiver claims throughout the season (me included), giving us a total class of 134 players. Of those 134 players, 91 of those players were eligible for the S41 ISFL draft, giving the retention rate for the S41 class of 67.91% for just the period of time from the DSFL draft to the ISFL draft. From that snapshot of the class to now 2 seasons later and around half of a year IRL, 61 Players remain, where 51 of those 61 are active. So, after 3 seasons, we have a “Survival” rate of 45.52% and an “Active Survival” rate of 38.06%. Now what do those numbers mean? I have absolutely no idea, I can't take these snapshots of all of these older classes behind me, and tracking how many new users from S21 are still around would be an ungodly task which I have no plan of doing. What I have foolishly done though, is go back to the S41 ISFL draft and look back at the draft positions and where the class is now. 30 of the 91 draftees are now IA, retired, but simply just do not exist in the TPE tracker anymore. So, of those 61 players, I have graphed all of those players based on; the X axis a players rank by most TPE (for example, Loose Cannon has the most TPE, so he would have a rank of 1, Ezra Azazel has the second most TPE and has a rank of 2, etc.); and the Y axis being a persons draft position

As we can see it follows a pretty normal pattern, The higher ranked you were at TPE now (8/6/2023 at the time of data grab), usually meant the better your draft position was. However, this doesn’t make a good representation of players, in respect to TPE. The difference between #1 Loose Cannon and #2 Ezra Azazel (34 TPE), is about the same as between #6 Mary Marie and #20 Rolud Onyxgut (37 TPE), which led me to create another graph, now using total TPE as an X-axis instead of TPE rank.

This graph I feel truly represents how the class looks, and we can draw many interesting conclusions from this draft (Side note, this graph does not look at position, draft conversations, or any other feelings on draft day, just someone's draft position, and their total TPE right now). You can see this almost, invisible wall form around the 700 mark, except for Loose Cannon, who is a TPE anomaly. When taking all of these points into account and running them through a calculator, the Correlation Coefficient of this graph is -.77299, which is a strong negative correlation that makes sense (The lower your draft position, the higher your TPE should be). But sometimes the biggest questions of these retrospectives are if someone was a steal or a bust/reach, which we can determine through a point’s residual. The residual here is someone's actual draft position minus what their predicted draft position would be based on their TPE. The prediction equation was y=-0.0919(x)+81.475, so for example, if I have 500 TPE now, my predicted draft position would be y=-0.0919(500)+81.475 --->y=35.525, which means my draft position should be around the 35/36 pick. However, someone's predicted draft position does not mean that that was their actual draft position. If in my example I was drafted with the 45th pick, I would have been a good value pick, but If I was picked 20th, I would have been a reach. The Best value pick of the draft was Forozka Duanei, who should have been taken around 21/22nd pick but was taken 52, which was an absolute steal. The biggest reach of this draft was Artemis Entreri, who should have been taken around pick 47 but was taken at pick 21.
