Danny Nedelko and Notso Smart share a peculiar friendship, a bit like two old pints down the local pub, constantly bickering, yet inseparable. The banter between these two is a sight to behold, often toeing the line between jest and what some might call verbal abuse.

With Danny's quick wit and Notso's, well, not-so-smart comebacks, they've made the practice sessions a riot. However, their camaraderie is as tight as the laces on their football boots. Through tackles and touchdowns, they're a dynamic duo, relying on their peculiar bond to push the team to victory. Off the field, they're spotted at the local diner, sharing a laugh over a plate of greasy fries and burgers, proving that the insults are all in good fun.

Danny and Notso, an odd pair, but a friendship as solid as the line of scrimmage. In their own special way, they've formed a partnership as strong as any on the football field — despite playing on opposite sides of the ball.

Coming in fresh and new to simulated sports I had no idea what to expect. Also being new to internet based social environments, I doubly had no idea what to expect. But the ISFL being the pretty chill place that is, tends to have a gaggle of pretty awesome folks hanging around. To that end there are a bunch of great whom I have had the pleasure of getting to know. While this list is comprehensive a few of the standouts I have met so far would have to be lemonoppy and zodiac from my class, two great dudes who I have been happy to meet and interact with. And from the more senior members, wizard, jenni, croney and swoosh have been stellar at spreading knowledge and showing me the ropes and just generally being awesome. From somewhere a little closer to home in Sarasota, abh, fronk, mag, sizz, and ctots are also fish besties. Even the rookies...well now I suppose there aren't rookies anymore, but even the new class has some great folks in bam, thor, tmoney, triceracop and zen. Aslo have to say my co-gm cycro is also top notch. You all are great, and make this place all the better for being here.

Being draftmates with Ignatious Cleetington has been great for Wing Gundam’s development. The pair of players both came to Sarasota full of hope and ambition, and they continue to work together and motivate one another to perform better and better.

What is it that connects these two? Maybe it’s the feeling of outsiderism - Gundam is a literal robot and Cleetington has a lot of personal trauma from his experience falling into a vat of leather working chemicals. They’ve both dealt with a lot of trauma and adversity before achieving success on the gridiron. The two sticking together helps to keep both of them on the right track for success now and in the future.

The thing that Gundam admires most about Cleetington is his seemingly unlimited stamina - the kid simply does not get tired. Testing the limits of what is it what should be physically possible is very interesting for both of these players, and they each have a different style of pursuing those limits. Iron sharpens iron. Go fish.

For most players in the ISFL, their teammate that has had their back is probably someone from their draft class, as they have played with them for their whole career, but that is not the case for McAlister. His teammate that has had his back the most is fellow CB Jamdrian LeBayers, who was drafted 5 seasons after McAlister. McAlister had always had the #1 receiver locked down, which made the other teams use their WR2 and 3 to beat the Otters most of the time, which usually worked against a weak secondary, until they drafted LeBayers in the first round, which helped lock up the other side, leading to a couple Otter Playoff Appearences. Now that McAlister is very old, he is happy to find a friend and teammate to be able to pass the Otters CB1 role over to, a role in which he hopes LeBayers weill be able to continue the excellence of.

Harley Andrews has been around the league for a long time now and has seen a lot of players come and go as a Sailfish. As a result of that, he’s had many players that he has considered friends throughout his career. One that really sticks out above the rest though is his counterpart in the Sailfish defensive backfield, Fronky Fresh. Though Andrews and Fresh are 4 seasons apart, they have really clicked since teaming up in Sarasota. The two can regularly be found goofing off at practice, chatting at their neighboring lockers in the locker room, and even hanging out away from the team facilities. The close connection between the two has really helped the Sailfish defense on the field. They’ve set an example for the younger players on the defense which has lead to them all forming a closer bond that really shows up on gameday when the Sailfish defense takes the field.

John Stark VIII has two favorite teammates on the Orange County Otters, both on the defensive side of the ball. The first is fellow linebacker Sim Sunigh, who helped him adjust to the big leagues, something Stark greatly appreciated being an instant call-up. Sunigh pushes Stark to get better, acting as a friendly rival, both players trying their best to help their team. Stark greatly appreciates Sunigh being there for him as both a mentor and a friend. Stark's other good friend on the Otters is Defensive End Iosefa Fuamatu-Ma’afala. Iosefa was called up to the Otters along with Stark in season 40, both players making an immediate impact as a member of the front seven. IFM has had an absolutely phenomenal start to his career, absolutely blowing through opposing offensive lines. When he does manage to get stopped, it often gives Stark a great chance to make a play, something he is more than grateful for. Iosefa is a great buddy too, something that can help more than anything when dealing with the rigorous ISFL season.

Juran Riley is very fresh into the DSFL, and because of that, he has been short on friends. His college teammates are not on Dallas. He didn’t open up at all in the prospect bowl, preferring to train and keep his head down to make his goal of entering the DSFL. On Dallas, he didn’t open up immediately. He tends to be quiet and focused during practice and in the locker room. That didn’t stop fellow second year linebacker and defensive captain Joey Battle from striking a friendship with the pass rusher. Battle mentors Riley on and off the field, staying late to go over pass rush moves tips to disguise coverages. Battle also has opened Riley up a bit. Riley has been very vocal for a rookie and is playing very well. He is top 5 in sacks, and gets plenty of tackles and TFLs as well. The linebacker duo is one of the best in the dsfl, one in which the Dallas faithful are hoping leads them back to the playoffs.
