Written option: During the off-season, you player was asked to be on a gameshow! What gameshow was it and how did they do on it?

Octavio Pérez is a huge fan of gameshow. Growing up he and his family would always watch the classics like Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Family Fued and so forth. He would always dream of getting a shot to go on one of these shows and use his wits and brain to win.

This past offseason Pérez got a huge oppertunity when Wheel of Fortune called and offered him a slot on the Celebrity Wheel of Fortune roster for the up coming recording session. Pérez instantly jumped on this opportunity and flew out to California to participate.

Being a part of the show was everything Octavio had ever dreamed of. He used his charms and wit to win over Pat and Vanna, as well as the audience. He successfully got the first quick fire round and also got one of the puzzles correct. In the end it was barely not enough to make it to the final round and his Wheel of Fortune run came to an end. Pérez had an absolute blast and thanked the whole team for giving him this experience.

There are not many gameshows that Blacksmith Andre knows about, but there is one that he watches, a lot, and he was finally asked to be apart of, and he invited some of his Sabercat buddies to be on it with him. It was Family Feud, ISFL edition, and San Jose sent Blacksmith Andre, Josh Patterson @Tylertokesome04, Keanu Calhoun @Frostbite, Owen Farrell @Asked Madden and Booter McGavin @ajtigger. The San Jose Sabercats ended up facing off against the Yellowknife Wraiths and their group which consisted of Cheecago Boucher @UberBJ, Detective Crashmore @speculadora, Money Tolliver @jeffie43, Terry Johnson @Gumbaman and Kadarius Claypool II @Weaves. It was quite the match, a bunch of banter going back and forth between the two teams, but ultimately it ran down to the final round with the San Jose Sabercats squeaking out a win on a beautiful answer by the one and only Owen Farrell. This was one for the ages, and both teams would hopefully love to go back next summer and compete again.

Danny Nedelko was invited to appear on a special celebrity edition of The Price is Right. He very very excited for the opportunity as he used to watch the show with his parents back in Odessa, Texas, as a child.

Unfortunately, as an overprivileged athlete who doesn't have to do anything for himself, Nedelko had absolutely no idea how much anything costs, and his guesses were off by magnitudes of 10 or 100 every time he opened his mouth. This got Danny frustrated, as he doesn't like people laughing at him for being dumb. This frustration would manifest itself when he finally got a chance to spin the big wheel - quite predictably, with his muscular stature, he spun it so hard that he broke it. When they cut recording and fixed it, he spun it again. And broke it again.

This second accident was left in the edit, and Nedelko was extremely unhappy to be made to look like an oaf on TV. He won't be going on The Price is Right again.

Trent Thigpen has always been a trivia nerd so as soon as he heard that Celebrity Jeopardy was looking for him to come on as an ISFL guest star, he knew he had to be there. While he was disappointed it came too late to meet his late hero Alex Trebek, Thigpen was still hyped to be a participant on the legendary game show. He knew his whole family would be watching along with his teammates so the pressure was on to perform well in this sports themed episode against the other two celebrity guest star athletes, Kyrie Irving and Aaron Rodgers. Luckily for the viewers at home, there were no questions on Ayahuasca trips or anything else nonsports related. After sweeping up on both the football and hockey (thanks Wisconsin) categories, Thigpen went into the final round with a $1000 lead over Rodgers while Irving was left with a negative balance. The final round's category? Mathematics. Thigpen thought he was screwed but in the end he went home the winner. The question he got right? 2+2. Aaron Rodgers answered 8 for the number of super bowls he plans to win in his 40s, and Irving answered "?". Atta boys.
