2. Tell us about your draft class. Is there anything that makes it special in comparison to other classes? Where did your fellow draftees land, how are they doing? Did anyone turn out to be an unexpected steal of that draft based on what you know today? Do you think anyone in your draft class will become a hall of famer? If you’re new to the league, how do you think your class will do? Where do you think people will get drafted to? 864 words
I will be revisiting the draft and rating the first round.
1OA Dino Nuggets - CB - swoosh - 1111 tpe
Nuggets was drafted first overall and performing at that level by leading the draft class in tpe. He was called up immediately and has produced 8 interceptions and 4 forced fumbles. While not having exciting stats on the field, he's swoosh has made up for it by becoming an ISFL GM. Unfortunately for NOLA it is with BAL. A great pick, but you would hope the 1OA pick would be a team lifer, therefore his grade is slightly lower: A-
2OA Heiiajs D. Owidhus - CB - firstfray - 1101 tpe
Another awesome pick here; Owidhus is second in the class in tpe. He was called up immediately and has produced like crazy by notching 15 interceptions and 8 forced fumbles. 7 of those pics came in s45, earning him a spot in the Pro-Bowl and 1st Team All-Pro. Can't argue with this pick: A+
3OA - Hank Mardukas - TE - chicken lips - 1078 tpe
Mardukas is 5th in tpe, the first to ounderperform his draft position, but he has outperformed it both on and off the field. He was called up immediately and switched to WR. Maardukas has had 3700 yards receiving and 21 touchdowns in his career. He was awarded a Pro-Bowl spot in s45 and also became a GM in the DSFL. Grade: A+
4OA Federico Americano - LB - MN_Moosey - 1051 tpe
Sitting at the 9th rank, Americano is behind his draft spot in tpe. It's only 60 tpe behind the class leader so not a big deal. He has produced on the field with 25 sacks and 10 forced fumbles, additionally earning the s43 Defensive Rookie of the Year Award. This on the field production let's me overlook his slight slide in tpe. grade: A-
5th OA Martin Bachman - RB - martin.bachman - 353 tpe
After a string of great picks, we get our first bust. Bachman never even made it out of the DSFL. This grade is too easy: F
6th OA Blacksmith Andre - OL - muford - 1100 tpe
Andre was a nice "steal" here (if you can call a first rounder a steal) since he's outperformed his draft position. He was called up immediately as OL and switched to CB after two seasons. His play has been solid and continues to improve. Grade: A
7th OA RE #38 - QB - Aleris - 827 tpe
RE #38 has really underperformed his draft position, sitting at 21st in tpe, but not enough to warrant the bust label. He eventually switched from QB to LB and has produced 14 sacks and 5 forced fumbles, all with the Yeti. Not a terrible pick but they did trade up to get him. Probably could have waited. Grade: B-
8th OA Josh Patterson - QB - Tylertokesome04 - 1085 tpe
A rookie user at QB?? Patterson has lived up to the hype, 4th in earning at the 8th draft spot. He's still young in his QB career, producing 46 TDs to 25 interceptions, but I can see him being very dangerous in a couple seasons. Grade: A
9th OA Reginald Shrubbery - RB - shrub02 - 1074 tpe
Hey that's me! Great pick here. Earning is overachieving draft position. Awarded a spot on the s45 Pro-Bowl and s45 Performance of the Year award. Grade: A
10th OA Dan Dandrews - OL - sburbine - 1018 tpe
Dandrews has underperformed slightly, 14th in tpe, but within reason for a team to get their guy. He switched to LB for the ISFL and has since produced 17 sacks and 4 forced fumbles. I predicted a breakout season for him coming up. Grade A-
11th OA Ace Anderson - RB - DangWookie - 1018 tpe
The 11th overall pick and 11th rank in tpe. Plus a need for the team. Anderson seemed like a match made in heaven for Sarasota. He leads the draft class with over 48oo total yards and 39 total touchdowns. Not bad for being overlooked by 10 other teams. Gade: A
12th OA Luigi Numberone - CB - ztarwarz - 1056 tpe
Numberone's earning has been better than his draft position, ranking 8th. While his on the filed production is anything great, 6 interceptions, CB can be pretty random with stats so he gets a pass. He has had 3 defensive TDs though. The only knock on his grade is that he was dealt away to CTC in a trade that brought in swoosh as GM. Grade: A-
13th OA Octavion Speedings - WR - CeeKay - 1030 tpe
Speedings was a worthwhile pick at 13 as he has slightly overperformed his draft position. He's 12th in tpe in his class. His real value came in the form of a position switch to QB. NOLA gained their franchise QB and he has produced, throwing 54 TDs to 24 interceptions. Grade: A
14 OA Honey Humphries - S - Komobro - 374 tpe
With the last pick of the first round, NOLA selected Humphries, a certified bust. While he was called up immidiately, he stopped earning at just 374 tpe, good enough for the 33rd rank. The only reason he doesn't get an F is because he contributes to the team. Grade: D-
