Hogwarts Star Tim Riggins Sneaks into First Round
There was a shockwave through the Wizarding Community as Hogwarts Star Tight End, Tim Riggins, was selected 7th overall by the Kansas City Coyotes. The pick was a surprise selection, as the ISFL and its development affiliate, the DSFL, absolutely despise the Tight End position. I was fortunate enough to sit down with Tim Riggins and his girlfriend Minka Kelly shortly after the stunning selection.
When asked about whether he felt he deserved the selection over so many better players, Tim’s eyes shuddered as if the ghosts of his past were creeping inside his skull and nearly causing him to sob. “Rita, I believe I deserved the selection and please stop writing that I am about to cry”. Deflection at its finest my good readers.
I could sense that there was tension in the room and the disconnect between Tim and Minka became apparent to me. So I pressed on asking Minka if she is concerned that Tim will lose sight of what got him there and find some new muggle girl to make him happy Minka looked away staring at the draft floor and thinking about what future would look like without Tim, “Rita, please stop fabricating these things, Tim and I are in love”. I could see the desperation in her eyes, clinging to Tim like a dragon to its egg. Love is fleeting after all…
Severus Snape Fired from Defensive Coordinator Position after Doping Scandal
Months ago controversy rocked Hogwarts football, as Coach Snape was caught in a doping scandal where he was giving PEP, or performance enhancing potions, to the Pure Blood players on the team. After months of investigation, the NCAA committee has still not released its findings, but Hogwarts has taken action and has let go of the esteemed coordinator.
Head Coach Dumbledore himself spoke in a press conference today before the draft to let the media know of his release. “I have known Coach Snape for years as we built this program together and I am extremely disappointed in the findings I have seen so far from the NCAA committee.” Snape refrained from comment, but this wizard could see beyond the facade as Snape thought to himself, “Will I be sent to Azkaban for my crimes?” Only time will tell.
Altercation Breaks Out Amongst S47 Rookies and Waiver Pickups
A beautiful evening at the draft quickly turned dark, when waiver pickups Hollywood Tez and JJ What got into an altercation with some of the S47 draftees. The controversy started because both WRs were passed up in the draft due to JJ’s extremely long manifesto and Hollywood’s off-field issues turned off GMs from prospective teams. The target of their malicious intent was innocent Golden Retriever and first round pick, Brad Woof. The waiver wire rookies appeared inebriated and were spotted chasing the dog throughout the stadium. They eventually caught him when Woof stopped to look at a squirrel and pinned him down in an effort to shave the dog. Thankfully, Tim Riggins was nearby and casted multiple spells on the waiver wire rookies to protect his fellow first round pick. Tim was seen saying “Good boy” to Brad and giving him multiple pets. A happy night turned dark and then light again due to the wizard intervening.
