What would have happened if I had made one different decision at the beginning of my career as a safety named Geralt? We could look at if I had chosen a different position, as I was given 5 options by Zayn due to him winning my recreate auction, but I want to take a look instead at what might have happened if I had not told everyone that I was going to try and be a mercenary on this player. At the time, I was the commissioner, had spent the last 3 years on only 3 teams, and thought that it might be good for me to get into more locker rooms other than just 3, hence my desire for mercenary work. I also wanted to try and win as many Ultimus as possible, and knowing that there were 11 teams that I had not played for, my goal was to play a couple seasons for 4-6 of those teams. Unfortunately, this made me slip out of the first round, and that was the beginning of the mental collapse in regard to the league.
Lyle has questioned his life if he had never discovered football in high school, and to be honest he feels if he never stepped onto that field to play with the pigskin, he would likely be in a kitchen cooking it. Lyle has always had a great interest in cooking and becoming a chef. He pondered the opportunity if he didn't make the South Central Louisiana State University Mud Dogs football team when he walked on that fateful day in his freshman year, Lyle had planned on applying to attend the CIA(Culinary Institute of America) the next year. He has an extreme passion in the cooking of the bayou and how he can make it translate well into a restaurant setting. Lyle makes one of the tastiest gumbo's this side of the Mason Dixon line and will challenge anyone who thinks they can cook a better one. But alas this something that Lyle has now put on hold until his football career is over, for the time being he just gets to cook for his teammates and that is just as rewarding.
Dominic Reynolds heavily considered two different positions. Playing in the trenches was always going to be the end goal, but both offensive and defensive sides were intriguing. They was a time where defensive end looked like the position and he was going to end up chasing down and sacking quarterbacks. This felt like a fun position to play in and a great chance, but at the end of the day playing on the offensive line just felt like the right decision. I think had Dominic stayed on offense, he would've been drafted a little earlier in the DSFL draft since DE is a much more desirable position than offensive line. This would lead to him playing with completely new faces and having a much different locker room than where he ended up. But, I think his playstyle and character fits more with the offensive line group where he was able to earn being the offensive captain as well for his team. Had he been a DE, he would be surrounded by different faces and probably taken on a more selfish role.
I think for Josh Gibson the biggest butterfly moment was after his first season, with the loss of Swoosh and some solid draft picks going IA there was a decision to be made about a position swap.
I was fairly adamant in the pre draft process that I wouldn't swap away from Safety. But getting really involved in NOLA meant that i was ready to do anything to help the squad. Ended up going with a swap to LB but everything was on the table at one point. Talk of me going to CB or WR or RB, whatever would help the team from a balance perspective. In the end Gibson moves to LB where he is starting to quietly thrive, certainly not all pro numbers but they are in the above average band. Mardukas ended up moving from TE to WR and that has been going great and then we drafted Wevis for the 2nd CB apot and boy that's been a great move so far.
This is a very interesting prompt, as I could pick any moment. I think I'll chose my selection in the ISFL draft as the most pivotal moment in my career for one main reason: position switch. Gesicki started out as a DSFL TE and might stayed at TE without his selection by Berlin. If Berlin didn't draft Gesicki, the 3 next teams up were Colorado, NOLA and New York. The Silverbacks are the most interesting option as they drafted a lower TPE TE just 3 picks after Gesicki was taken, maybe he would be their starting TE right now. It's also interesting to consider the teams in front of Berlin as NOLA, AZ and HON drafted the 3 picks before. Gesicki could have potentially been called up faster and won an Ultimus on either Honolulu or Arizona, but might also just be an average TE instead of a LB putting up productive numbers. Because of the butterfly effect, we'll never know.

The moment that determined everything for Tim Riggins was after his senior year of High School when he had to decide between being an auror for the Ministry of Magic or continue playing football at Hogwarts University. The family pressure was immense at this time as his father, his grandfather and 5 other generations of Riggins worked as aurors. His father specifically had very strong feelings about him playing a "muggle" sport and said it was beneath him even though the Hogwarts Football program had become immensely successful. As a wizarding family, muggle culture was always foreign to Riggins.
If he had chosen this path things would have looked much differently. For starters, Tim was one of the best duelers in his Hogwarts class, so he would have defended against the dark arts with pride. He was also quite crafty with protection spells specifically, so he would have made for a great tank build on an auror's squad. Lastly, Tim is one of the most courageous and gritty wizards that ever walked the halls of Hogwarts, which would have made him a fierce defender of the innocent. Fortunately, Tim decided to applies those traits to something more beneficial to society like playing for a development league football team.
Had I not talked about One Piece, yes really, I would not have been the first overall pick in my DSFL draft. Talking about my favorite show put me up high on London's draft board as I connected with JoeSteel over the greatest work of fiction ever. Now what would have happened had I not been snatched off of the draft board? My immediate guess would be that Minnesota would have picked me up at pick three although AMKAMKAMK was an excellent selection as well. I think that I would have still been a first rounder as I had a great conversation with Tijuana as well. I think that I would have stuck to wide receiver regardless of which team picked me up. Admittedly the first round was loaded with talent, and I realistically could have gone to any team in the DSFL. That being said I am very glad I found my home in London. Roll Royals Roll.
