Written option: With the league's fiftieth season only around half a year away, reflect on your own history in the league. What memories and moments of your time in the ISFL are you most fond of? Tell the story and explain why it stands out. If you prefer, write about your player's most important memories instead. (58 words)
I’ve been in the league for a little bit over a year now, ever since that fateful day Tom Brady retired and I unfortunately managed to catch the recruitment post in the NFL subreddit by slate and thinking “Hey, that sounds interesting”. I made a player that had my real name and thanks to a bit of wish fulfilment, I made myself a Wide Receiver player. Ever since then, I’ve been involved in quite a lot of shenanigans, even if most of them negative. I haven’t exactly become a likeable person in the league and I’ve constantly rubbed people the wrong way which is… understandable. Probably the things that stand out to me the most are obviously my first few days when I was still learning the league, how I never stood out as anything other than a clown and nonsensical talker, my first trade, my first retirement that threw what felt like half the league against me, and how I’ve done nothing of note. There have been some fond moments I guess, but it’s hard for me to see them as so anymore since I made everything so hard for myself by being an unlikeable idiot. Rant over I guess.
