For the past 3 years, I have had the pleasure of running a mock draft with ISFL community members where all 32 teams are GMed by users from our league. We take a slow-draft approach with an 8 hour timer and started all the way back in March. It took almost a full month to complete, but we got it done and now you can see the results and flame your favorite team's Gm for doing an awful job. Or just trash @negs bc that's the most fun.
The goal for this mock is for users to do more of a deep dive into the class, get more familiar with prospects outside of the first 2 rounds, and to also learn more about their own (or another) team. To accomplish this, I ask for a write-up explaining why they chose who they did. Why does that player specifically fit your team? What other players were available that you considered? Is this what you think your team's GM will do in the actual draft, or is it what you think they SHOULD do? There's some freedom in it, but I emphasize trying to keep things decently realistic. To that end, there were some rules that limited things. We allow trades with picks from this draft and next, but no players may be traded. I haven't yet come up with a way to make that cleanly work for us, so for now, this is what we stuck with. But enough with the words, go look at your team and talk some mad shit!!
Super special thanks goes to @Painted for doing all of the sheet work with the cool formulas and fixing errors that popped during the process. Without him, I could not, and would not, run this mock!
