We are at the home stretch, and the DSFL is as chaotic as it can be. In the North, three teams are fighting for one spot. In the South, all spots are available, all teams are fighting for them. But looking at the current standings, the games to highlight are a Week 12 matchup between two 5-4-1 teams, the Seawolves and the Birddogs. Depending on their Week 11 results against the Pythons and the Coyotes, respectively, as well as the game of the trailing Luchadores against the Royals, this game could very well be the game that secures the #1 seed in the division and the homefield advantage for the Conference Championship game. It doesn't get more primetime than that. There is a similar game in Week 14 between the currently tied at 5-5 Grey Ducks and Pythons, but that game is in Week 14, which, depending on the three games before that may be either for all the marbles or for nothing.

With the closing of the 49th season of the International Simulation Football league afoot, leagues are known for changing the order of games to make the final game of the season the crescendo to the season. I would definitely highlight the week 15 game of the Sarasota Sailfish and the Osaka Kaiju or the artists formerly known as the Chicago Butchers. Osaka does have an outside chance of making the playoffs. If Osaka were to beat the Yellow Knife Wraiths in Week 15 and the Sarasota Sailfish were to lose to the Baltimore Hawks in week 15. It would set up a duel for the 3rd seed in the NSFC. The nine wins and five loss Sarasota Sailfish would take on the eight win and six loss Osaka Kaiju. This week 15 game would be the game that would likely determine the final team in the playoffs for the NSFC. If the Osaka Kaiju were to win, then the dramatics would continue for both teams as if Osaka were to win again in week 16 than they would assume that third place playoff position. If Sarasota were to win this game than it likely seals the deal on which three NSFC teams are in the playoffs and then becomes a question of which team will have what playoff seed.

This one is all about New York Silverbacks. As of right now they are tied at 6th to sit just outside a playoff spot. Now I picked this team to be 3rd in the ASFC and put my TPE where my mouth was as I have TPE on the line in season predictions. I picked NYS for a reason, the dark horse that was going to not be on anybody's radar and would fight their way shockingly to a 3rd place spot and secure a moment in the playoffs. On their schedule they still have Arizona and Austin left. This is a do or die for NYS as they have lost to both Arizona and Austin and not only need to beat them to get into the playoffs as Arizona is one game ahead; but make sure that they split the head to head on both teams. At this point its a race between those three teams for the 3rd seed. Who is going to do it? Rookie sensation Elijah Dyson. Dyson will be the key to this team either clawing their way sharpening metal on metal and reaching the playoffs in a dramatic fashion or the fickle blood gods of the ISFl will deny a true darkhorse from the gates of eternity.

Now that we are in the final week of the season, we are hewading into playoff determining scenarios that will shape the playoffs. One game that will determine the Ultimus is NOLA vs BAL in week 16. Both teams were in the Ultimus a year ago and look to get back into the big game for differing motivations. The Week 16 game will probably not only determine who will get home court for the final but also will determine where each team stands in terms of winning the Ultimus. If NOLA defeats BAL, then, despite regression, NOLA has a good chance at going back to back in rings; if BAL defeats NOLA, then BAL has a chance to get revenge and win the fated Ultimus that they lost in a collapse a season ago. Either way, it should shape up to be an interesting close to this interesting regular season full of surprises.

I think the Hawks deserve a prime time matchup this year. It seems for the last couple of seasons, they’ve been screwed by the stream schedule. We often find ourselves waiting until nearly 6:00 for our game to start. A great choice for a Baltimore prime time slot would be week 16 against New Orleans. The big storyline there would be that it’s a rematch of last seasons Ultimus. Will Baltimore get revenge? Will New Orleans prove it wasn’t a fluke? It’s also a chance to see a potential rematch in the upcoming Ultimus. Both teams are at the top of their conferences and both teams field top MVp candidates at running back. Kyle Crane and Anakin Skywalker will be doing their best to put one last big game on their resumes for the season. It’s entirely possible this game itself decides who wins MVP for the S49 season. It’s a battle for pride, but most importantly, for legacy.

Everybody knows that the developmental simulation Football League aka the dsfl the best league there ever was and ever is. As the playoff race begins to tighten up the team I'm on the lookout for is the Dallas bird dogs led by have to be T-Bone. T-bone is the nephew of former NFL legend Sal ami. T-Bone is a linebacker and he refers to Dallas's defense as the doggies of destruction. His former co general manager Slate it's also linebacker on this vaunted Defensive Juggernaut of a team. Waldo is there quarterback and he is in his second season. he is one of the main X factors on the offensive side of the football. Waldo is in his second or third season now and is one of the major reasons why Dallas has had such a competitive season this year. Time will tell if the Dallas bird dogs are going to make the playoffs and live up to their aspirations for this season.
