4. Colorado is the worst team in league history. There's not even all that much competition for that spot anymore. However, they do have one of the higher numbers of Hall of Famers in the league, and have one of the most memorable Ultimus victories ever. As such, there's a whole host of players who could fit on a Colorado Mount Rushmore.
The first step when constructing a Mount Rushmore, at least to me, is to represent the greatest eras of the franchise, which is easier in this case because there is exactly one great era of Colorado, from S22 through S25, and a second Good Era at the turn of the decade. At least, usually that's my first priority. When it comes to Colorado, there's actually another priority that's even more important, though: representing Infinite. In terms of synonymous users with franchises, he's up there for the player who is the most attached to a franchise in the entire league in my head, up there with Zayn and New York and Dewalt and Berlin, and Infinite's been attached to COL for much longer. So I need an Infinite player, and there's an easy choice there: Micycle McCormick, one of the greatest placekickers the league has ever seen, a Hall of Famer, and a player who covers a time period that wouldn't otherwise be covered for Colorado. Back to the good eras of the franchise, I need a player who represents the Ultimus winning squad, and maybe the back to back years where they were runners up, as well as a player who represents the late 20s-early 30s era where they were usually at least competitive. Technically I could kill two birds with one stone here, because there is a player who bridges both sides of the gap, but I don't need to do that: I can put Mo Berry, 3 time DPOY, Hall of Famer, and one of the greatest LBs the league has seen onto Mount Rushmore. He had a nice 7 tackle, 1 TFL, 1 sack game in the Ultimus, and might have been the single best performer on that team; the other option, James Bishop, is also a Hall of Famer but doesn't have the all time legacy that Berry does. So I get to put in one of the greatest players for the Yeti and one of the major reasons they won a title in one fell swoop. The 3rd player is easy, as I get to add maybe the single greatest player to ever play for Colorado, and a guy who perfectly covers both of the Yeti's strongest periods: William Lim. He's a top 4 WR in league history, being top 4 in both yards and touchdowns, and spreads across both the Yeti's 3 Ultimus berths in 4 years period and the Peek Yeeti period where they had another Ultimus berth in S31. The Yeti have a lot of Hall of Famers, but not that many in contention for Greatest Player at their position, outside of Lim and one other. I honestly run into a bit of a problem here; all the best options for a 4th player are doubling up in some way; I could have Bubba Thumper, Immanuel Blackstone, or Wolfie McDummy to cover the greatest period of Yeti history, but I feel like Berry was the best player of that bunch and Wolfie in particular is also doubling up on Infinite representation. I could have Caliban or Melvin Murder Moose, but both heavily overlap with Lim, Caliban even moreso considering he was Lim's QB. Manhattan Project doesn't overlap with Lim as much, playing only about a third of his career together, but he was a Center. I eventually settled on Johnathon Saint, as a player who covered the start of the Yeti, their first season and first award, winning LBotY and making the Ultimus in their first season. He's a Hall of Fame LB, not as decorated as some of his compatriots, but I think he fits best.

7. Write 600 words or more on something about anything in the league that interests you. It could be related to statistics, a league issue that you take seriously, or a niche part of history that doesn’t fit neatly into either of the above categories. This must be directly related to the league, so don’t wax 600 words about your team’s participation on a Werewolf server or something. So, something that’s always grabbed my attention since I started in this league is trying to figure out how everything works behind the scenes. Like, how do they get all the numbers into the system to make the sims run? And how does the production team actually work? I like to think of myself as a pretty analytical person, so I enjoy trying to understand this stuff, but honestly, I still don’t really get a lot of it. There’s so much going on that it’s hard to wrap my head around all of it. For example, something I’ve been wondering is whether upgrading just one point in something like speed or hands makes that big of a difference. Will I notice an immediate improvement, or is it better to just save up and wait until I can make a bigger upgrade all at once? I find myself overthinking this all the time. It’s not like the game gives you a clear guide on how impactful those little upgrades are. Sometimes I feel like making small tweaks doesn’t do much, so it’s hard to know whether I should just wait and save up more before upgrading. Aside from the mechanics of the game, I’m also super curious about how the league itself got started. Was it just a bunch of football fans hanging out on Discord and one day decided, “Hey, let’s start a league”? I kind of picture it that way—just a few people who love football and had a lot of free time coming together to create something like this. I’m really interested in knowing more about that part of the story, like how the early seasons of the league looked. Was it just a few people throwing numbers into a simulator and then watching dots move across the screen? That kind of grassroots start is something I’d love to know more about. Then there are the teams. How did every team get its name? I’ve noticed that some names sound like a mix of NFL teams or other sports franchises. With how creative this community seems to be, I’d guess there’s more to it than just copying existing teams. I wonder if people came up with backstories for their teams. If that’s the case, I’m all for it. I love lore. Whether it’s about video games, TV shows, or whatever I’m into, having some kind of backstory makes things way more fun for me. Knowing a team's origin story or why they chose a certain name would definitely help me feel more connected to the league. And honestly, that’s the main thing for me. I’m not just here for the stats and numbers, although those are cool too. I want to understand how the league came together and get more immersed in the community. For someone like me, who enjoys watching videos and reading stuff about the things I’m passionate about, having those extra details would definitely make this experience more enjoyable. I know some people are more into the competitive aspect of the league, but for me, it’s also about understanding the bigger picture—like the lore behind the teams, the history of the league, and how it all came to be. So yeah, I guess that’s where my head is at. On the one hand, I’m trying to figure out whether small upgrades actually matter, and on the other, I’m curious about the creative side of the league and the stories behind it. I feel like the more I know about how things work and how it all started, the more invested I’ll be. At the end of the day, I’m just trying to get the most out of this league, and understanding both the technical side and the history would really help me enjoy it more.

Code: 577 Words + Table 10. I am the new commissioner. I have always deserved this role, and I am glad that the league finally came to their collective senses to give it to me. I would immediately pass executive orders seizing all power. I would dismiss the rest of the head office to consolidate my power. I would use our vast treasury (thank you @jdc4654 for stealing from users via corrupt casino lines) to hire an army of secret police to enforce my will. We would first arrest and torture "Seer Lol" (@omg), infamous villain and wretched user for engaging in wrongthink during PTs. I would strike him from the archives, removing any and all traces of his putrid player from the leagues history (not much to erase, cause he stinks). Finally, I would give back TPE to every user who has ever had it stolen from them. Regression, audits, joining later than TDL, all of it. I'd give it all back. In a single day, I would save the league. I would then retire, comfortably, to my cottage in the woods (it's a shoe) to live a peaceful life, knowing that I, Roquefort Cotswold, saved the ISFL. PSYCHE. I'd keep my power. A single day? Are you absurd. Good luck getting me to stand down. With my army of commissars nobody would dare stand against me. We would build a giant cannon and launch Thor to the moon. Why? How dare you question me. To the moon with you to! Next, I'd take back all of that TPE I gave out. I'd keep it for myself, and for my @CROney3''s and other loyal goons. We'd all get fat and rich with TPE while the rest of the league STARVES and WITHERS away. I would be a fantastic tyrant. *THEN* I'd retire to my idyllic leather boot cottage in the woods for the peaceful life I deserve after saving the ISFL. Code: 316 Words |
