Darren Morris takes his off-season program very seriously. Throughout his college career with the Oklahoma Sooners, Morris always took the off-season regimen very seriously. As a top-notch athlete, he spends the vast majority of his off-season doing similar workouts to his peers in the NSFL and DSFL. He attends a personal trainer up north in Canada, a trainer near Vancouver, British Colombia. This past off-season, while waiting in the lead up to the draft, Morris spent a lot of his time focusing on his footwork and agility with his feet. It was something he saw as important; especially after seeing some of the college video of wide receivers who were going into his draft as well. Conditioning up and down footpaths in the Rockies were an almost daily chore.
This off-season, Morris decided to do some things a little differently and focus on pilates and strengthening his core. The experimental new techniques were approved by his personal trainer, and in combination with a new diet, allowed Morris to add a lot of muscle mass in his midsection. The mix between the new focus and the focus on foot agility and speed gives Morris an exciting new window to launch through in his player development.
