We’re a couple of hours from week 2, perfect time for power rankings. Also fiancée demands dinner, so quick typing as I am cooking.
By the index power rankings, the Liberty sit at 1.
Power rankings indicate that if two teams face off with all things neutral, the higher team should win, does that happen? It’s why we play the game.
1. Baltimore Hawks (1-0) ?0
I may get burned for this, but the Hawks may be the strongest defense this season. If you argue that by TPE Akselsen has comparable TPE to other top QBs, holding him to 3 turnovers and no scores is impressive. Holding Cook to under 100 yards is also a feat that shouldn’t be overlooked. The offense is still running on all cylinders, the Hawks look to continue to hold the fort as they take on the Sabercats.
2. Arizona Outlaws (1-0) ?0
Credit where credit is due, I flipped a coin for spot 1, Arizona lost. They’re still a formidable team offensively and defensively.
3. Orange County Otters (0-1) ?0
Tough loss at home to the Outlaws in OT, as is typical Otters v Outlaws games. Lets see what they do week 2.
4. San Jose SaberCats (1-0) ?0
Hats off to John Canton, he set the record for interception return yards, taking it for 75 yards and to the house. Defense needs to still shore up though.
5. Philadelphia Liberty(1-0) ?0
Good start to the season, but Legion, so take with a grain of salt.
6. Las Vegas Legion (0-1) ?+1
Well they got a lot to do but can still be a spoiler team.
7. Yellowknife Wraiths (0-1) ?-1
What a poor performance from both sides of the ball.
8. Colorado Yeti (0-1) ?0
Yikes.
I didn’t have anyone edit it, so the money is mine.
