This didn't happen at the trade deadline, it happened towards the start of the season.
Once upon a time, the sabercats were doing pretty poorly during season 2, but we were on the up and up. We figured out that our biggest problem was the fact that our second cornerback could get torched by pretty much anyone. SJS decided to trade 2 draft picks for a pretty good rising CB star. This was an incredibly big price given the landscape of early drafts, S1-3 seeming to be massive drafts. Well as soon as we had him on the team, he immediately retired. He apparently didn't like the position and this was not communicated with anyone, and due to tampering rules, it's not like the sabercats general manager or staff could have reached out to him to talk about how he felt about his position. This entire situation was really terrible for the sabercats and made us really bad for a long time, screwing us over initially and in the future with the loss of picks. Peterson was probably the first player to kick up controversy with a trade and retirement. Later on it would happen to the sabercats when they traded Dan Miller for Antonio Sandovall. Safe to say, the sabercats are great at trading for people that want to retire. 221 words (09-22-2018, 08:10 AM)Beaver Wrote:Sorry Ben i cri evrytim Donatello McTurtle || CB/OL #72 || Tijuana || New York || S33-S44
