Boss Tweed will play his last game in the mountains in week 13. This comes after he announced his retirement of the NSFL this past week.
This game is fitting, being a giant stage, as another week 13 YKW-COL game could have major playoff implications. Both teams are 6-4 right now.
"We thank Tweed so much for his time here," said Antonio Sandoval. "He was a leader for all six seasons in our locker room. I couldn't have asked for a better teammate."
"What can I say? Tweed was an ironman. He did everything for the team and the team only," said Jonathon Saint, a teammate of Tweed for his entire tenure in Colorado. "He surprised us right off the bat with his work ethic, being such a low pick, man, that was crazy."
Tweed's number has already been retired by the Colorado Yeti, and the #41 hangs high in the rafters. Deservedly so for the #4 all time leading rusher.
The stalwart has made the Pro Bowl seven times, only missing it in S1 and S6.
"It's so crazy, thinking, here's a guy who started his NSFL career while I was in high school, who's still doing big things, and he's done it at running back and linebacker. He really can do anything. And I guess I never really had him on my team, so I don't know the impact that he brought. But I know that he has a legacy in Colorado."
@PigSnout thank you!!!
