Dressed in a custom fitted red and black suit, Skarsgard approaches the podium. He clears his throat.
"I am probably unknown rookie in this league for most. I had not much fanfare when I was drafted. Even commentators didn't know me. Yet, I am competing at high level for Tijuana. I am excited about the opportunity to play and excited to be Luchador. Please, ask your questions, and I will answer as many as time allows for. Thank you."
*Ask whatever you want, doods. I'm up to answer whatever.*
Do you think yourself and the Luchadores can turn this season around?
Absolutely. This team has great players. Great leaders. We have started off slow, true. The best teams fight when backed into a corner. As a defensive unit, we have allowed the most points in DSFL so far. We all need to step up and take responsibility for assignments. When all the talent on this team and this defense comes together, the rest of the league better be ready.
Who do you look to replicate your game after when you reach the NSFL?
Obviously, many great linebackers have played in NSFL, and I would do well to reach the level of any of them. Just getting a shot in NSFL to make a contribution will be great. However, to say I want to replicate another player’s game, I feel I can not agree with. While I would enjoy reaching their levels of success, I want to make my very own mark on this league. I don’t want someone to say, he’s a lot like this or that player. I want to be mentioned on my own, for my own accomplishments.
And do you feel like you guys are leaving something out on the field after your games?
I believe all my teammates are playing hard, and my GMs are doing everything they can to put us in a place to succeed. Just missing plays here and there is what I believe holds us back. A dropped pass, a missed tackle. I try my best to improve every time I hit the field. If we all just keep working hard and training, we’ll start seeing more and more success.
