I am hopping on the draft team rankings train! Choo Choo Choo mother trucker!!! I saw everyone doing it and thought it would be a good way to earn some more money since I need to buy one last piece of equipment before the season ends! If I can do that and the wiki I should be set and one of the top TPE guys I think. Apparently I am already the best Tight End in this draft (suck it Ronnie Williams and Jorel Tuck!!!) so I don’t want to entertain the thought of switching to another position. I already played defense on my first player and I actually want to see how far I can go as Blocking Tight End since it’s pretty unique. Sooo….here goes my draft rankings!
Aw Heck No
Baltimore Hawks
These guys won the Ultimus last season in S10 so I think everyone and their mother would be trying to join the Hawks, but I am definitely not! I want to start at Tight End and these guys already have Verso L’Alto (weird name bro) and Declan Harp (not as weird, but still weird name bro). L’Alto has close to one thousand jillion TPE and Declan Harp has close to 600 so I’m not touching that starting lineup anytime soon. People in discord that Tight Ends could play Fullback and Receiver so maybe there’s a chance I start at Tight End and one of these guys shift over, but I don’t see that happening. Plus I am a Blocking Tight End so you don’t want me catching jack, jack! Locker room might be fun since winning solves a lot of problems
Yellowknife Wraiths
I can appreciate the originality and town in Canada, but I have been hearing some negative (sad) things about this team. The biggest problem I heard was their starting quarterback going inactive. That’s a major red flag for me to be honest. Like...what’s the direction of this team? Maybe if the GM contacts me with their scouting message I could ask them, but for now it’s a Aw Heck No from me. I could see myself starting here because Glenn McPoyal is inactive at 558 TPE and Franklin Harris Jr. is just on his way out the door. Still, I don’t think this is a good place for me (shrug).
San Jose Sabercats
Not a very original city, but that’s not a deal breaker for me. They have Zapp Brannigan (“When I'm in command, every mission is a suicide-mission.”) at 373 TPE. He’s S9 and pretty low in TPE all things considering, but he’s serviceable at max speed and good endurance. They are stacked at other offensive positions so I don’t see a good place for me here except in a Two TE set or something. Maybe I’d join here in the future, but who knows! Meow! Their GM was the first guy to reach out to me though.
I Can Get On Board With That
Orange County Otters
These guys don’t have a clear starting Tight End that’s active. I like the idea of playing with Pythons legend, Carlito Crush, and Tegan Atwell. These guys are like the San Antonio Spurs of the NSFL because they always seem to be solid with good leadership and make the playoffs consistently. That’s always a good sign to me. When a team can be consistently good for a long time and this team looks like it’s been good since the league started! I like speculadora too and I think he’s a swell GM! No red flags for me here either and the ASFC seems like easy mode for the Otters. I wouldn’t mind playing here for a bit while building up my TPE and crushin’ the competition. You see what I did there?!?
Arizona Outlaws
Well I do like guns and warm climates so Arizona would be a fun place to be. Balthazar Crindy is the starting Tight End here and they have a decent offense, but I could see myself flexing at Fullback here if they don’t have a good option along with playing in the Two TE set. Fitzpatrick is an active quarterback with lots of good media articles so that’s a big check plus in my book. I do wonder who Tanya is since he keeps talking about her so much in this quarterback posts...Anyways, I hope they reach out soon so I can move them up my list of teams. They haven’t been that great in the last 3 or so seasons but look to be on the upswing so pew pew bang bang go Outlaws!
It’s On Like Donkey Kong!
These are the teams I would love to be on in order of preferred.
New Orleans Second Line
They are the best around and no one is gonna keep them down! I wasn’t too keen on playing here on my first player but I have since warmed up to the idea because they guys are good all around and I think I can help an already great team. They have a Tight End by the name of Chinwemma Yobanna-Kanayochukwu who is also a Blocking Tight End, but he’s got 294 TPE and 188 banked which is really weird because I think he could have better stats if he used his TPE. If he keeps being weird (which I can see happening because let’s be honest who gets all those points and not spend them? This guy must have like 20,000 points on his credit card miles), then I could beat this guy in applied TPE! I like the color scheme now even though the mascot and stuff is kinda wonky. I remember Borkus being a good quarterback in my old DSFL days so he’s a major plus for the team in my eyes. They took a chance on me the first time around and I failed them, but I hope I can get drafted again there to prove myself as a top Tight End.
Colorado Yeti
I heard in discord that these guys set some records the last few seasons but not in a good way. They look to be rebuilding and I will probably have more TPE than their starting Tight End, Alvin Chipmunk. I could probably start here if they let me and slowly build up my TPE if they are rebuilding and we could win some playoff games in 2-3 seasons if McCormick stays active and they draft people they need in like...all positions! I just hope they don’t fall off too much and go back to losing a ton of games because that’s always demoralizing and never fun. I think I could do a season and a half of bad performances but I would want out after that if it continued.
Philadelphia Liberty
This team embraced the tank and I went back to see how they drafted the last few seasons and it’s super impressive to see them get Falconi, Hoff, Hondo, von Matt, Felix, Brown, Garnett, Robertson, Becker, Saul, Cobalt. These guys know how to draft and they are loaded with young talent that I could step into and help out right away. They have lots of receiving talent already so I could fit in as a Blocking Tight End with a focus on strength, agility, and blocking skills for those sweet sweet pancakes. I can picture myself opening up routes and holes for Brown and Hondo to fly through and laying out defenders with blocks. I wouldn’t need much TPE either and I think these guys are set to make the playoffs next season if they had me blocking for them.
