Week 1
Romeo DeVitt helped the Orange County Otters earn a preseason week 1 win over the Outlaws. DeVitt recorded nine tackles, including one for a loss, and three sacks. DeVitt helped set the tone defensively as the Otters cruised to a 16-3 win.
On the other side of the line in that very game was Alex Thomas. Thomas put up an impressive 8 pancakes for the Outlaws and allowed 0 sacks. However, Thomas’s effort was for naught as the Outlaws were unable to convert long drives into points.
The Yellowknife Wraiths QB, Alexandre LeClair put an excellent performance en route to their victory. LeClair completed 75% of his passes for 215 yards. He also threw two touchdowns and was able to avoid turning the ball over in the Wraiths 24-7 win over the Sabercats.
Week 2

The duo of Scrub Kyubee and Damian West torched the Yellowknife Wraiths defensive backs. Kyubee threw for 340 yards and four touchdowns. West was on the receiving end of 117 of those yards, and added another 34 yards in the return game. West also caught two of Kyubee’s touchdown passes. Kyubee also protected the ball and threw 0 interceptions en route to the Hawks’ 31-10 victory over the Wraiths.
Defensive tackle for the Yeti, Vinny Cox, was a force to be reckoned with. He recorded seven tackles and three sacks helping the Yeti to a 17-13 win over the Arizona Outlaws. Cox was also a major part of stuffing the Outlaws’ run game, helping to hold the Outlaws to just 84 yards rushing.
Eric Hansen, cornerback for the San Jose Sabercats, was in the head of Otters’ quarterback Mike Boss all game. Hansen was able to deflect two of Boss’s passes and intercept another. The pass that Hansen intercepted, he took 25 yards to the house for a touchdown. Despite Hansen’s effort, the Otters were still able to eek out a 17-13 victory.
