The National Simulation Football League's first Pre-Season has come to a close. The four weeks of pre-season games, including twelve total contests gave us a glimpse of the teams in the NSFL. The rosters for our competitors appear to be nearly ironed out in preparation for the regular season, beginning Monday, June 12th. GM's, Coaches and Players are still scrambling to make as much progress as possible and nail down their intended strategies for the upcoming regular season.
We'll go through every game of the pre-season to bring out the high and low-lights as the teams look to keep momentum, or improve upon their pre-seasons.
[div align=\\\"center\\\"]Week One[/div]
[div align=\\\"center\\\"] vs. [/div]
The first tilt of the pre-season had the Orange County Otters facing off against the Arizona Outlaws . In what could be an early indication on the ASFC, the Otters kept the Outlaws at bay in a fairly low-scoring contest. Outlaws kicker Adrienne Nugent started off the scoring with a 41-yard field goal in the first quarter of play. Unfortunately for the Outlaws, those three points were the last to be scored by the Outlaws in the first week. Otters kicker Brandon Walsh tied the game up in the 2nd quarter with a 46-yard boot through the uprights. George Wright Jr, the TE for the Otters tacked on a 4-yard receiving touchdown in the Third, and Walsh finished up the scoring in the 4th quarter with two kicks of 46 and 43 yards. Robert Phelps, the WR for the Otters received Offensive Player of the Game by recording 106 yards on 5 receptions. On the defensive side, Romeo Devitt recorded 9 tackles and 3 sacks to lock-in Defensive Player of the game honors.
