With the midway point of the season now hitting us, it's hard to say if I'm particularly happy with how Schneider has been doing because there's parts of acceleration and others of pure trash. It's always best to start with the bad and end on a good note so I suppose I'll start with what I haven't been too proud of. First off, the most immediate concern is that Schneider just doesn't have fat stacks of tackles, man. I'm sure that safeties aren't intended to rack up the tackles in comparison to other defensive positions or at least I think they aren't, but it's still not the most pleasant to look at when Schneider has 52 with the league leader at 102. Generally, I'm kind of disappointed with the lack of other stats. Whereas I see lots of players in the leagues with tons of interceptions, passes defended, and some sort of fumble related stat, Schneider's really got none of those. He has one pass defended but that's about it. Now to get into the one big positive, mister Daniel Schneider has himself a league lead in sacks. It turns out that this thick man just enjoys tackling the quarterback and who could blame him? Quarterbacks tend to have the most plump cheeks.
San Jose is the best team in the league. I have no doubts about that. Yes they might have to the Outlaws, but sometimes upsets happen. San Jose has the best defense in the league by a mile in my opinion, led by the two offseason trade acquisitions in Chad and Thad Pennington. They have elevated the defense to the next level, and along with fellow trade acquisition Benson Bayley, really reinvented this team overnight. The team went from 1-13 and struggling to the next dynasty. Of course, a lot of this happens through great drafting and a fantastic locker room as well, but winning trades and utilizing your team to their full potential is a huge part of success in this league. If you can get your team to perform above their caliber you can see a lot of success in the league, and considering the youth of the team that is the San Jose Sabercats, no one should be surprised if this core wins 2, 3, even 4 Ultimus titles (possibly in a row) before they start to regress and see new talent take over. San Jose is built to last, especially considering they are an extremely young team that will only get better as time goes on. (210 words)
Wow Kif…just wow I cannot believe these pipsqueaks have learned so much from me this quickly. Seems like that we are winning games and a lot of them too. I could not be more excited, the better we are, the more people that watch us, hence the more people staring at this beautiful figure. We are 9-1 as a team, which no one expected not even myself, and tied having the best record in the league. It is absolutely phenomenal my Kif. Not only that, but I am not doing too shabby myself either. I scored one of those touch downy thingies that you always mention, and according to the league stats it looks like I am currently fifth in receiving yards, 289, for my position. I wish to contribute more but Christ likes to throw to less clumsy people that actually score touchdowns and do not drop passes. Oh well… looks like we are going to have to trade him now… Zappy needs more balls. Hopefully in the second half of the season we can continue our dominance like we demonstrated earlier this year. Also, I hope to stop dropping the voluptuous pig skin as much, that way Zappy boo can get more yards.
Sam is frustrated, he is mad, he is disappointed, he knows its his rookie year but he is upset about his production. When drafted by the Liberty Sam knew the team was in win now mode and has a great core of wideouts including a strong trio of Carter Bush, Jordan Von Matt, and Felix Hasselhoff Sam knew his playing time would be limited but not as bad as it is right now. 10 games into the season and Sam has only 8 receptions 106 yards and a single touchdown sporting the 3rd worst receiving yards out of all rookie wide receivers. As the 4th string receiver Sam expected more which is why he decided to stay and play in the NSFL and not spend another year down in the DSFL. He knows his skills does not reflect his stats at all and that with more experience in the league he will soon move up in the depth chart but his ego could be clouding him. Sam had 2 goals for his rookie year: lead all rookies in receiving yards and win offensive rookie of the year, with only four games left sam knows he has come up far flat with his goals and it seems to be picking at him during practice and team meetings. With the season winding down we can only hope things get better for our young star to be.
