[Ready to be graded]
With the draft coming up within the next couple weeks, I figured now would be a good time to have a pre-draft presser. Feel free to ask any questions you have about my playstyle, work ethic, interests, goals, or whatever else you can think of!
Edit (Questions and Answers):
Why should teams consider you? I feel like there are so many answers to this questions, but I'll stick with the basics. I'm confident in my ability to be a game-changer. This draft class is huge, and teams will be looking for impact players. I have the talent and ability to be just that.
What separates you from the rest of the linebacking class? If I'm being completely honest, it would have to be my speed. I may not be the fastest linebacker in this draft class but I'm definitely near the top of the list, and speed is also not my only skill. I also have great hands and coverage skills, that I'm constantly working on improving. I'm very "well-rounded" compared to other speedy linebackers.
Why football, and more importantly, why linebacker? Football was the first sport I played. Once I started, I never wanted to stop. It was like something ignited inside me, a passion for the sport that had been dormant for my whole life had finally awakened. My position was more of a decision made by the coaches and staff at The Ohio State University than it was mine. They saw the skills I possessed and chose the position they thought suited me best, and I gotta say, I think they made a good choice.
Do you have both testicles? Oh man, I mean, last time I checked. *Looks down pants*. Yes, I do in fact have both testicles.
What kind of bear is best? That's a pretty difficult question. For some reason, I've always had a soft spot for pandas (panda bear), but I would have to say that Polar Bears are the "best." I mean, come on, Polar Bears are freaking cool.
What are your expectations for your first season? I could give you a generic answer, that everybody else would answer the same way, "I'm going to be the best." My goal is to be the best linebacker in this draft class, but that is a goal for the future. Things like that aren't achieved over night. You have to earn in, strive for it. My expectations for this season are to be drafted by a team that actually needs me as a starter. If I'm not a starter right away; I'll earn the spot over time. Then, I'll make a name for myself. I'll make myself known throughout the league. People will recognize my talent by the time the season is over.
Have any teams already contacted you? Are you interested in any specific teams? I have been contacted by a few teams. Although, I won't disclose which teams those were at this time. If I had to choose one team that specifically stands out to me, or interests me, it would probably be Palm Beach. They are under new management, and I feel like it would be a great team to start my career and possibly be put into an early leadership role on a team.
