Hello there, it’s been a while since Have put anything out and I think it’s time I put something out. This last draft was a good one. S17 didn’t have that many active players but the ones that were have all been close knit and are al friends. That being said it’s time to grade the teams that picked them in last night NSFL draft. I’m going to go Worst to Best
Baltimore Hawks F
Where do it begin. This is the worst draft I’ve ever seen by a team and yes I’ve looked through some draft archives. This team had the 4th overall pick and 14th overall pick. Good enough picks for active players. Baltimore has the bright idea to trade the person they drafted with the 4th overall pick (Me) AND the 14th overall pick to the New Orleans Second Line. Leaving them with only 2 picks in the draft. A fifth rounder and an abysmal 6th rounder which they ended up passing on using. Terrible draft strategy by the Hawks
Chicago Butchers D
The Butchers didn’t have a bad draft per se. they just didn’t have any picks to their name after trading a bunch last season they only had one pick this draft which was a late 3rd rounder (28th Overall) which they used for a below average Offensive Lineman. All eyes will be on them next draft to see what they do with their picks
Philadelphia Liberty D
Philadelphia thought they did good but I’m here to tell you they didn’t, they drafted Julian McMorris and Jim McMahon as their top 2 picks. Both are looking to be sent down. Sources have told me about what’s going on with McMahon and the Liberty also shows that this will NOT be long relationship as McMahon respectfully so, doesn’t want to switch positions which Philadelphia doesn’t like. If the Liberty has a better approach to the people they drafted then maybe they would be rated higher up
Orange County Otters C-
Orange County did not have a horrible draft, but they didn’t have a GOOD draft. They drafted 2 Wide Receivers with their top 2 picks, both from Kansas City. Max Lovate has been real off and on this season with Dexter Banks being the best Receiver in the draft. Otherwise their last pick was a Running Back who never started a game. They never drafted a defensive player which is definitely going to come back to haunt them
Colorado Yeti C+
The only reason I’m giving the Yeti is because of my good friend @[Woelkers] aka Bubba Thumper. Best non defensive back in the draft easily and a good pick by Colorado. Outside of Bubba they drafted Quarterback Jordan McCann who hasn’t been doing his work 100% in practice and camp. Colorado is looking to get out of the pit that is the Lovable Losers
Yellowknife Wraiths C+
Yellowknife had a great 3 rounds of drafting with stars like Mervin Leonard and Kicky Bobby who will both be in the NSFL for years. The Wraiths also picked up CB Dominick Shultz who will definitely be at least the nsfl level for a good amount of years. Only time will tell whether those 3 will be the best Wraiths draft class ever
San Jose Sabercats B
San Jose definitely got the Defensive players they need. With Coyotes star Tyron Brackenridge looking to make a huge debut in the league and is already an early favorite for Defensive rookie of the year. With their second pick they selected recent meme lord AC Payton who famously retired a few hours before the draft and unretired right during the draft and went 15th OA. They also picked up DJ Dallas who is known for being the fastest player in the DSFL last season
Arizona Outlaws A
Arizona had a GREAT draft for how low their picks were. It’s unbelievable that they got who they got. 1st of all they traded up to get star Reciever with no Ultimini Saba Donut who is looking to become the next big Reciever. The Outlaws also picked up breakout Defensive Tackle Shane Masters and Saba Donuts brother Ducky Donut. The fact that they got who they got is great, but imo not as great as the last two teams
Austin Copperheads A
Without any trading except for 1 random trade in the first round Austin got their best case scenario for the draft. We all knew that Ashley Owens was going first overall but they also managed to get Takeda Okura at 11th Overall who somehow fell to the second round. Honda Edmond will be the next big Line Backer of the league and Austin will prove it.
New Orleans Second Line A+
WHAT. A. DRAFT. I Don’t think anyone was expecting what happened to New Orleans this seasons draft. First of all they picked Jordan Andrews Cornerback out of Tijuana 3rd Overall to start out their draft. Nothing really happened until the 13th and 14th pick of the draft. On the 13th overall pick they selected Action Jackson WR out of Portland, who somehow fell this far into the draft. Then the biggest trade of the draft happened, Baltimore sent out a trade request to the Second Line for some no name Defensive Linemam and return New Orleans Received Brayden Ennis (Me) who was the 4th overall pick of the draft AND the 14th overall pick which they used to draft Willie Woodson who is a very good player. With their 5th pick they somehow manyto draft another great player, Ronald the Watt Watkins who is returning back to practice. There is no way you can say that NOLA had a bad draft
Well everyone that was my draft rankings. If you have any questions reply in the bottom and I’ll answer. Also no actual hate towards Baltimore, I just believe it was a bad call. Good luck to all my friends In S17
