Another offseason has gone past us, and another season is just approaching the horizon, time to review each team’s offseason, and predicting their S17 records.
ASFC
Orange County Otters S16 record: 10-3 Playoff result: Lost in Conference Championship Against Arizona. Offseason grade: C+
The otters took a hit this offseason, losing both Sunnycursed and Vinny Valentine to Free Agency, they were able to address the WR hole by drafting Dexter Banks II, and Hugh Mongo, who is currently stuck in the DSFL. They were able to resign most of their important players like, Skarsgard, Armstrong, Reed, and Blaze.
S17 Projected record: 8-5, 3rd seed, elimination in Conference Championship.
Arizona Outlaws S16 record: 7-6 Playoff result: Won Ultimus over Philadelphia. Offseason grade: B-
For the first time since Season 3, The Outlaws are coming into the offseason as Ultimus champions, They continued to build on their League best defense by extending reining LBOTY/DPOY Raymond Vans, who had an unthinkable 19 sacks last season. Their offense is getting some new firepower too, they signed Vinny Valentine in Free Agency, and drafted the Donut brothers.
S17 projected record: 10-3, 1st seed, Elimination at Ultimus XVII.
San Jose Sabercats S16 record: 7-6 Playoff result: eliminated in Wild Card by Arizona. Offseason grade: C
The Sabercats were a disappointment in S16, and this is likely their last chance to win an Ultimus with this squad, with Christ Likely retiring at the trade deadline. Their youth have all been re-signed, so it’s likely one of them that has to position swap to quarterback. Projected record: 6-7 4th seed, Miss Playoffs.
New Orleans Second Line S16 record: 6-7 Playoff result: Missed Playoffs. Offseason grade: A-
Nola just fell short of qualifying for their first playoff appearance since season 11, but this season, their youth will carry them into the playoffs, with the young gun Stan Francisco behind the line, and the speed of Forrest Gump, and their draft group, The Sinister Six, they’ll be a threat for many seasons.
Projected record: 8-5, 2nd seed, elimination at Wild Card.
Austin Copperheads S16 record: 0-13 Playoff result: Do you really think they had a chance? Offseason grade: D
The Copperheads had the worst start by an expansion team, even worse than the Las Vegas Legion, by not winning a single game, they secured the No.1 pick in the draft, which was Ashley Owens, to allow this, Dick Wizardry position swapped to DT.
Projected record: 1-12, 5th seed, No playoffs.

Chicago Butchers S16 record: 10-3 playoff result: Eliminated in Conference championship by Philadelphia. Offseason grade: C
Chicago had arguably the best season by a Expansion team in the history of this league, by not only making playoffs, but clinching a Home Field Advantage, But they just fell short. The loss of Stokeley in Free Agency is gonna hurt their Defense. If they want to stay relevant in this league, it’s gonna be through their young defense.
Projected record: 7-6, 3rd seed, elimination at Wild Card.
Yellowknife Wraiths S16 record: 10-3 playoff result: Eliminated in Wild Card by Philadelphia. Offseason grade: B+
The Wraiths are a sleeping juggernaut waiting to be unleashed, this is almost the same Wraiths team as last season, With Grithead leading the defense, The Second act of Sack S.L.A.M, and The mighty Cooter leading the league’s best offense. The draft gave the Wraiths a new Cornerback and a new Kicker.
Projected record: 11-2, 1st seed, Ultimus win.
Philadelphia Liberty S16 record: 7-6 playoff result: Lost Ultimus to Arizona. Offseason grade: A Last season, we almost saw the second coming of the Miracle Liberty, without Oles and PDX of course, but this offseason their defense might be the best in this league, it’s a young and hungry group, however it depends on how well the aging Falconi and Von Matt do on their offense that decides if they return to the playoffs or not.
Projected record: 9-4, 2nd seed, elimination in conference championship.
Baltimore Hawks S16 record: 6-7 No playoffs lmao.
Offseason grade: E
Really Hawks? Why did you trade Ennis, for an inactive linebacker? I get it, y’all had bad sim luck, and losing at home isn’t gonna help you, Losing Marquise Brown to the Liberty isn’t gonna help, and now you have to rely on Dorfus Jimbo.
Projected record: 6-7, 4th seed, No Playoffs.
Colorado Yeti S16 record: 1-12, No playoffs.
Offseason grade: C
Not much from the Yeti, but they have two young studs being added to their roster in Laszlo-Fourty Two and Bubba Thumper, a Likely max earner.
Projected record: 4-10, 5th seed, no playoffs
