"Hello ladies and gentlemen, this is Bjørn Ironside reporting in from the S18 Sports Center. We're here with another exclusive as @Toasty follows up his GM with an exclusive interview into what the process has been like for his becoming Chicago’s coGM! Let's dive right in and see how he’s handling everything."
Ironside: "You've just been announced as the new coGM for the Chicago Butchers. What made you decide to apply for this particular job?"
Toasty: "I actually didn't apply for the Chicago Co General Manager Job, Jiggly actually reached out to me one day asking if I would be his CoGM. At first I was optimistic about taking the job because I had just jumped into the GM pool but in the end I obviously took the job"
Ironside: "Jiggly made the final call to hire you among a variety of applicants. What do you think made you stand out for the position?"
Toasty: "I think I stood out for the position because Jiggly trusts me and he knows that i will put work in to make the team the absolute best it can be."
Ironside: "As many already know, you'll be entering the S19 draft as a rookie player. Do you think this will have any impact on your draft experience?"
Toasty: "Well I mean I will end up getting 0 generic questionnaires and I know I will be going to Chicago anyways so I know it will be a lot less stressful too so it is probably a good thing I am a Co now."
Ironside: "Going into the S18 draft, the Butchers don't have a lot of ammunition to use. Do you see any potential for draft day trades to get you guys in a more favorable position?"
Toasty: "We will have to wait and see how that goes but I am all for trading up and taking some of the big name guys from this draft to fill some gaping holes out there"
Ironside: "With such little draft capitol, you will be building this team mostly through free agency. Where do you think the priorities are for strengthening this Chicago team?"
Toasty: "We plan on bringing some giant names to show we are not screwing around this season and want this rebuild to be as short as possible"
Ironside: "What are you most excited about on the current roster that you really think you can build off of?"
Toasty: "I think we can build off of every player on our roster, old or new they all are pivotal to our success this season and seasons to come"
Ironside: "It's obviously a long season ahead, but the GMs that came before you set this team up with a championship window when the league first expanded. Do you still see that window or did you come into this thinking about rebuilding?"
Toasty: "To be honest I feel that window closing really fast so I am moving more towards a short rebuild"
Ironside: "Obviously there has been quite a lot of turnover at the top levels of this team since its creation. Do you see yourself in Chicago long term?"
Toasty: "I see myself as the heir to the General Manager position for this team. I want to be looked at as the savior of Chicago that pulled us through the muck left by previous GMs."
Ironside: "Finally, what are your realistic goals as a coGM this season?"
Toasty: "My realistic goal is to get us through the rebuild and make it as short as possible while still being a playoff contender. That will be hard because our division is really strong but I am a relentless ass and will make sure we are there."
"Jiggly and the Butchers organization wasted no time in hiring Toasty, which is a testament to their belief in his ability to get the job done. He comes in with some experience and a good head on his shoulders and should be able to help carry Chicago forward. I look forward to seeing where the two of them can take this time. Until next time, this has been another Ironside’s Blindside. Ironside signing off."
