Brave Ulysses, RT
Tijuana Luchadores S14-S17
201 Career Pancakes, 3 Sacks Allowed
Ultimini Champion S16 S17
Brave Ulysses was drafted by the Tijuana Luchadores in the DSFL S14 Draft, in the second round. As a rookie, Ulysses was second in the league in pancakes at 53, and had allowed only a single sack. The Luchadores, led by quarterback Corvo Havran, were mainly a pass first team, and lost in the Ultimini to the Portland Pythons. In his second season, Ulysses suffered a sophomore slump. Allowing 2 sacks on the year with only 43 pancakes were a dissapointment for the leagues premier lineman talent. Again, the team was being led by the leagues best quarterback, Havran, but managed to lose to the Palm Beach Solar Bears. In his third year, after Havran was brought up to the NSFL, the team decided to reimage the offense, leaning more on the run, and solidifying its defense. Although Ulysses only recorded 40 pancakes, he kept his quarterbacks pocket clean allowing 0 sacks. The offensive lineman paved the way for a league high 3052 team rushing yards. The ground attack led the Luchadores to their 5th ultimini win, beating the Portland Pythons 28-14. Ulysses declared that the S17 DSFL season was going to be his last, before moving up to the NSFL to play for the New Orleans Second Line. Looking to repeat their prior years success, the Luchadores kept the same team identity entering S17, leaning on the two-headed rushing attack. Ulysses recorded 65 pancakes, and zero sacks on the season, leading the way to the Luchadores second straight Ultimini win.
Keep an eye as he moves up to the NSFL this season with the New Orleans Second Line, as he is expected to start at Right Tackle. He joins his DSFL teammate Forrest Gump, who will likely be running the ball behind Ulysses.
