ok, now that thats out of the way, the appeals committee is there like the challenge system in the NFL. Its to reverse egregious decisions by the refs. I think the appeals committee made the correct call in not reversing it.
So that means that it comes down to HO's original decision. I think it was the correct one, but that may just be because I take tampering, and most rules, very seriously. I havent seen the messages, but If the message was directed at a specific user/player and had the implication of going to a specific team, I would say that is tampering.
and lets just end this with another hearty Fuck HO because I like to use the word hearty.

Sucks balls that Butters gets the brunt of this but he's been penalised for a rule break before and came back twice as lively. Butters a good guy and there's nobody saying there was any malice from his action but rules are rules, GM's need to enable their players to read the rulebook and explain what's not okay and what is okay.
EDIT: He will no doubt get over this in due time and build a great player and become an even more valuable member of the NSFL, no doubt.
Not gonna lie, think I gotta agree with this one. I'm not aware of the whole details on whether it was tampering or not, but if it was, a $5m fine is probably the best that you could ask for, I think it was ruled very fair
