*Breaking News*
After the Second Line won against the Saber Cats, not a great accomplishment all things considered, Jackson was not pleased with his role within the offense in Nola. Don’t get it wrong he was happy with the win and for the guys. It was great from a team standpoint but Jackson just wasn’t in the game plan he figured.
With just 9 targets in two games, one in the last game, he was being targeted as much as Bjorn it seemed. While guys was celebrating and high five going around the locker room Jackson decided to skip out and get a drink. No one even seen Jackson dress and leave much less check where he was. Not even a reporter outside the locker room with questions. When asked why he left without telling anyone Jackson replied,”I mean I wasn’t noticed during the games so I figured no one would notice me gone. Looking back I regret going about the situation the way I did.”
Later that night TMZ spotted Jackson at a club dancing in the middle of a group of women, yelling and holding a champagne bottle up. Jackson noticed the photographer and walked up to him. After threatening the photographer Jackson and the ladies left but was seen by the same photographer in another club in a compromising position and with some kind of powder in a baggie. The photographer snapped quickly and sent what he had to his email to save for print.
Jackson ran up to the photographer and hit him square in the jaw. Instantly breaking his jaw and knocking him out. But Jackson wasn’t done with ending it there. He stood over him and cussed and spit on the guy. After he punched him once again a bouncer came to the rescue. Well things turned real ugly for Jackson, as he was unaware the police was on the way.
As Jackson was grabbed from behind he started getting hyped even more, he managed to jerk away and swing the bottle, hitting the bouncer, Jackson started ripping his shirt off and flexing on everyone, screaming and all. The other bouncer tackled him from behind and held him until the police showed up.
Jackson acted calmed down but once he was stood up by the officer he managed to elbow the officer in the nose and kick the other officer in the knee. A woman in the crowd watching had a taser and gave it to a guy who rushed in to help officers, tasing Jackson twice as shown on video. TMZ broke the news minutes ago. Jackson is out on bail and faces multiple charges including assault, resisting arrest with violence, assault on a police officer, indecent exposure from the compromising position he was caught in along with a drug charge.
I caught up with Jackson and he responded with this, “ I apologize for my actions last night. I let my teammates down, the city of Nola, my fans, family and myself. That’s not how I was raised. To the photographer, I’m deeply sorry and regret my actions. Money will not solve this but whatever I can do I will. I can’t talk much about the pending legal case per my lawyer but I will say this is not my character. I had a lapse in judgment because the season isn’t going anywhere like I planned. In that lapse I’ve made a horrible decision affecting many lives. That said I will be entering the league drug and alcohol program and going to a rehab in the offseason. Until then I will be staying low and focused on football. To my coaches, I’m sorry and I know things will change and get better. Thank you! To my teammates, I will keep working to improve and to my fans, don’t give up. Great things will come. That’s all I got on the situation for now.” We will see how the season and court case plays out. Stay tuned.
