Reporters at the New Orleans airport caught former teammates Thudd Kassel and Action Jackson talking at the airports waiting for their respective flights. In a busy weekend New Orleans traded away the S18 6th overall pick Thudd Kassel to Philadelphia and 2nd year Receiver Action Jackson to Chicago. The two could be seen chatting it up and seemingly joking which many see to be surprising after their widely covered media altercations with some rumors even saying it got physical in the locker room.
The reporters on site managed to catch Thudd as he walked away from his meeting with Jackson.
Reporter:"Thudd, what are your thoughts on the trade? How do you feel about the Second Line after they surprisingly dished you to the Liberty?"
Thudd:" Well I think it worked out for all parties involved. New Orleans picked up some good draft capital, The Liberty get a starting middle linebacker in me and I get to play with some very close friends of mine. I am super excited to be in Philadelphia! As far as the guys and women running The New Orleans Second Line? I have nothing bad to say about them. That front office is a bunch of stand up people that I hold no grudges against. I hope the best for them and want to say thank you for giving me my chance in the NSFL even for how brief of a start it was"
Reporter:"You go from a team that was possibly entering their championship window to a team that is just starting their rebuild. Objectively it seems like you would be stepping into a worse situation?"
Thudd:" I mean I guess you could say that, but I would love to be apart of the reason that The Liberty return to success. I think we have a great group of young talent that is going to gel well together and in a couple seasons we can be very dangerous."
Reporter:" You are just coming off a game where you sacked Adriana Falconi three times and devastated the Liberty offense. Do you think that game was the tipping factor on the Philadelphia swinging the trade for you?"
Thudd:" I don't know if it was the deciding factor or not, but I am sure it helped. I might have to send Adriana Falconi some flowers to say sorry before I show up in the locker room on Monday though! Can't have the vets hating me from day one."
Reporter:"We saw you chatting with Jackson who also was recently traded away from New Orleans. Y'alls beef was covered pretty in depth in recent weeks. It seems like you guys have no hard feelings?"
Thudd:"Nah man, Action and I are not really that different. Just competitive that we show in different ways. He is a good dude and I hope he eats in Chicago. Although he knows that if he comes over the middle in week 10 that he better come ready. But forreal he will shine in the right opportunity."
The call of the flight to Philadelphia can be heard in the distance. "Now boarding flight 5294"
Thudd "Alright boys I gotta go. Thanks for the questions"
Thudd gathered his bags to board his plane when he spotted Action still waiting at his terminal for his flight. He could be seen playfully flipping the bird to Jackson who returned the favor as Thudd boarded his flight.
