After a heart breaking loss to the Colorado Yeti in the Glaices game die hard Yellowknife Wraith fans went off to the Zoo of Yellowknife and screamed obscenities angrily at the Gorilla enclosures. Originally the officials at the zoo tried to curb the fans temper and even get them to stop but they soon realized this could become a yearly event in which they could bring in a large amount of profit. So now we have "Berate an Ape" day! The Yellowknife fans get to let their rage out on actual living beings who probably won't be offended or intimidated and there is now much less chance of riots. It may seem a bit rude but all of the money goes to make the ape enclosures more comfortable and stylish too. They are even thinking of possibly buying them shoes but I'm not sure if apes would really appreciate that.
A great tradition indeed....Though it is only a matter of time before an over zealous fan decides to dress up as a wraith (with a transparent suit of course) then hop in the enclose and try to scare an ape. Which would likely bring an end to this tradition. Until then FUCK YOU APES!

Friday July 7th San Jose Sabercats fans coming to stadium for no game? Fans of the Sabercats have gathered today, shortly after hearing the news that Sabercats quarterback Ethan Hunt would like to leave the Sabercats. This comes on the heels of Pro Bowl voting, where fans see Sabercats joining into the mix of the game, and the toes of the playoffs and Inagural Draft, where they most likely will see members of the Sabercats removed from the team, by way of trade, draft, or free agency. The fans in San Jose remain loyal to the Sabercats though, as new GM CK is looking to get the team pushed towards the right direction for season two. The Sabercats have announced that they will try and garner a trade deal for Ethan Hunt, and with two teams coming into the league fresh, the Sabercats may have some takers for the QB. As for Free Agency, Vick Bowers Jr. the starting tailback for the cats will be testing the waters of free agency, and may be looking to switch colors come the new season. The back has a mutual option for the second year on his contract and word on the street is that Hamilton will be looking for a new deal. Whether in San Jose or on a new squad, a new contract will be in order for the 1,000 yard back come season two. As for the fans, they are committed to the Cats, and will be getting together each night of a playoff matchup outside the San Jose stadium, in order to familiarize themselves with being at the stadium come playoff time. In the frigid temperatures, this seems like a crazy deal, but the fans themselves like CK and the Sabercats, are willing to go the distance. 285 Words
All teams have traditions. From the twelfth man to the terrible towel, they are all things that are meant bring the fans closer together as the celebrate the thing that they love: football. Yes, tomahawk chopping or throwing batteries at visiting players is fun and all, but no other tradition is quite as delicious as the new fad sweeping Orange County. Every Sunday in Santa Ana you can expect beautiful blue skies, a crisp breeze on your face, and- that's right, the smell of clams permeating through the air. What tradition more fitting for a team called the Otters other than to have a huge clambake before every game? No other tailgates in the country have food quite like Orange County does. Sure, you can still find your classic tailgate food, hot dogs, burgers and all that stuff, but the one true staple of an OCO tailgate is the shellfish. Owing to Otters love of clams, plus the location right near the ocean, having a clambake in the stadium parking lot seemed to be the natural next step for an OCO fan after they had purchased their Phelps or Jenkins jersey. The origin of this tradition can't be traced back to any one specific fan, but since early in the season, every game at Santa Ana stadium smells like shellfish, giving an authentic Otter-like experience.

Coming from Michigan and before declaring for the Season 2 NSFL Draft, the Wolverines had some interesting cheers. Shawn Brady fondly remembers one where it was "Build A Bonfire". This chant goes Build a Bonfire
Build a Bonfire Put the Spartans on top Put the Buckeyes in the Middle And let's burn the whole lot. The names of the teams can be changed to whoever they want but usually includes whoever the Wolverines are playing and just throw in another team just for fun. That is my favorite cheer because it is the most memorable. The other one I like it O, O, O, O, O, O....GO O, O, O, O, O, O .....BLUES to the tune of Seven Nation Army by the White Stripes. That tune will be used at games until the end of time because of how catchy it is. Almost like Song 2 by Blur. I can't to see which chants the crazy NSFL teams come up with. There are lot of crazy fans in San Jose Saber Cats who probably create a bunch of crazy chants. I would like to play there or in Orange County as they are from my home state. [OPTION]Height: 6'1"

Santa Ana stadium can get pretty rowdy on Otters game days. The players admit that they love all the craziness, and some even think it helped them to their 6-1 home record. In particular there is a group of fans that always creates a wooden logo representing the visiting team, and they would set it ablaze in the parking lot outside the main entrance to the stadium. During the second game of the season, other fans began to bring offerings to the fire, and would lay more flammables at the base of the burning effigy. The team had lost their first home game, but some fans believed the team went 6-0 the rest of the way at home because so many of them were participating in the pregame burning ritual. The local fire department even gets involved, by providing supervision of the fire and having crew on hand to put out any fire that is not under control. They did attempt to put out the fire the first week, but according to them the fans responsible for the fire setup a meeting with the local fire chief and discussed a plan to have a supervised fire in the future. Unfortunately the Otters never earned a home game in the playoffs, and local authorities in Arizona were not as receptive to the burning effigy idea.

The ownership allows some fans to put up a sign in the tunnel for the players to see before the game, reminding them of the winning tradition they are setting out to create.
