After a lot of careful consideration, I've decided to declare for the DSFL draft. After 3 amazing years of football at Ohio State, I'm aware that it's time to take the step up and forgo my senior year. I'm so grateful for every teammate, coach, and friend I've ever had. I wouldn't be here without you.
I know it's cliche, but I feel like I was born for this. With a name like mine, how can you not be? Growing up, all I cared about was football. I often butted heads with my baseball-minded cousin, Jeff Dingerhitter. I digress. I wasn't a fan of a team, but a fan of the NFSL and football as a whole. When I first could sign up for Pee Wee, I did. Eventually, I got the opportunity to play at New Rochelle High School. I was pegged for my ability to confound O-Lineman, and I learned to live in the DE slot. It was perfect. I would finally get the chance to live up to my name and, well, sack people.
After four amazing years, a lot of sacks, and 3 state championships, I was evaluated as a 5-star recruit. With the hats in front of me, the choice was easy. I committed to Ohio State and began a journey I'll never forget. After 2 Bednariks and CFPs, the Buckeyes and I finally made it to the Natty. With 1:52 left and a 24-23 lead, I laid down a brutal sack and iced the game.
After that, I knew it was time. I talked it over with my family and coach, and we all agreed that I was ready and in the best position I could put myself in.
I know I may come off a little braggadocious in this article, but the main thing I want to be taken from this is that I'm dedicated and ready.
Thanks for reading, and I'm excited to prove myself to any GM that selects me.
