It's no secret by now that the Norfolk Seawolves have drafted a team this season that contains primarily of players from the MLR and MLN, bolstering their projected activity, and camaraderie within the clubhouse. We took the opportunity to chat with Remon Kurisuto, a wide receiver from the S21 draft class, about his thoughts on the team up to this point.
Interviewer: Kurisuto, what do you think the Norfolk Seawolves inherent strengths are by drafting this set of players?
Remon: ??? ??? ??????????? ????????????
Translator: I think we have a lot of friends on the team. Therefore, we can understand each other easier on the field, and play well.
I: That makes sense. However, you all come from baseball. Are you concerned at all about the skills not transferring?
R: ???? ??????? ?? ??? ???????? ?? ????? ?? ?? ?? ?????? ?????
T: Not at all. In baseball, speed is the best. For me, a wide receiver, it's the same thing. After training this year, I want to be the fastest player in the game for next year.
I: Great, thank you for your time and good luck in the bowl tonight. Now on the Manager of the Norfolk Seawolves, Dorfus Jimbo Jr. Jimbo, Do you foresee any issues with the language barrier between Kurisuto and yourself or other teammates?
Jimbo: I don't think that it will be a problem for us at all with the language barrier. We'll have our translator around, and will definitely be able to get around that barrier to make this team as successful as possible.
I: I see. Additionally, Kurisuto mentioned he believes that the MLR players having previously established communication in MLR will benefit them on the field. Do you think this will play a big factor in tonight's Prospect Bowl?
J: I think that the pre-existing chemistry that has already been formed with all of these MLR players coming into the league. Chemistry between teammates can be such a huge thing for production on the team and on the field. Working together can be absolutely crucial for winning games, and having that right off the bat should help us a lot
I: Thank you for your time as well. I know you're very busy preparing for the Prospect Bowl, so I'll let you get back to it. Finally, we have the adorable panda, Juniped Catfish, another MLR player turned S21 draftee. Catfish, how long have you known Kurisuto?
Catfish: I've known Kurisuto for a couple years. We played each other in Fake Baseball as well as against each other in College. Both multi sport guys and we hit it off.
I: Sounds like you go back a decent way. What do you think his strength will be for the Seawolves?
C: He's a smart receiver, fast and good at evading the defense. I think with some training on catching he's going to be untouchable and a deep threat.
I: Thank you. That concludes our interview, and now we see how the Seawolves will do tonight, and I advise you to keep some special eyes on Remon Kurisuto. Thanks for tuning in. Later on tonight you can catch the Prospect Bowl live right here on RKBC.
