The NSFL is just getting started, but they certainly won't have a shortage at the quarterback position, easily the most popular position, but also the most crucial- if you get it wrong, you can kiss the franchise goodbye, because you'll be scratching and clawing trying to fix your mistake and by the time you find "the guy", everyone else is already ahead of you and you've got to play catch up.
Quarterback is without question the most important, he defines the franchise, he sets the tone on and off the field, no player is more influential than the guy under center, which is why you need not only an amazing physical talent with the arm strength to tear apart the receivers hands, but you also need a leader, someone who can command the huddle and inspire confidence in his teammates when things get tough. If you have a weak QB, someone who caves under the pressure and can't handle the spotlight, you'll be in a heap of trouble.

The most recent addition to the inaugural draft class is Arizona State quarterback Josh Bercovici, an out-spoken, brazen player who stormed onto the collegiate seen as a walk-on freshman and hasn't looked back since. After spending the majority of his first three high school years on the party bus, spending his time chasing skirts and nailing D's in the classroom, he decided to play football, spending the summer prior to his senior year in the gym, walking on to the team and leading them to state title. Colleges weren't convinced, however, and the offers didn't flood in like you'd expect; his partying habits and consistent beef with teammates seemed to cause teams to shy away, as they feared he was just another "Johnny Manziel in the making."
Bercovici is 6-3, 210lbs of solid muscle with a cannon for an arm and the accuracy to match. He's a gunslinger at heart and has no issues throwing into any type of coverage. "I have absolute faith in my arm and decision making ability- there really isn't a hole I can't fit the football into it, so I don't really see it as risky." He said after being asked by a reporter as to why he makes so many risky throws.
Without question, Bercovici possesses the physical skills to be all-time talent, it's the other areas that lead teams to question whether he is worth the risk. There's no denying that Josh Bercovici has ice running in his veins, he doesn't get rattled and the bigger the stage the better he plays, he rallies his teammates around him with ease, but he's definitely a loose cannon and seems to divide the locker room with his off-the-field antics. "I'm just trying to play football and have fun while I'm doing it...people like to judge me and say I shouldn't do this or that, or that I'm not a franchise type guy because of my attitude or some bullshit like that, but let me tell you something, I've always put the game first, and I've never let off-the-field decisions impact my game performance, that's where I draw the line. I'm a competitor, I like to win- winning comes before everything."
There's lots of quarterback talent in the draft, so it'll be interesting to see what teams decide to do when the opportunity arises to select Josh Bercovici as their franchise quarterback. "Whoever takes me is getting a winner who will stop at nothing to be the best- so keep that in mind when you start thinking about other options, because really, there is no other option.".
