If I was in charge of a new expansion team, I'd have my eyes peeled for players who are posting a ton of media, who are super engaged in discord, and who are doing every task. Activity reigns supreme, and it would be my goal to get the most dedicated users. Looking at media quality is a great way to find steals; quality always is more important than quantity. I would also try to make sure I got strong players at every position, so that my team would not have any weak spots. Diversity and possessing both offensive and defensive talent is how you make a championship-ready squad. Also, after the draft I would work with my players to improve their builds and to ensure that they stay active. A GM's job is to motivate and to assist their team, and that would be my top priority. Even if they are playing a lesser role, I'd make sure that they know that they are valued and that there is a path for them to rise. I'd also help them navigate their way through the league and make their way onto draft boards of the pro teams if I was a DSFL GM specifically, it would be my mission to prepare them for that next step.
Thomas Passmann is an incoming wide receiver draftee for the DSFL, part of the massive S22 class. He is a speed demon, possibly a literal demon, as his recruiter is Satan. Nobody can confirm that, but he plays the game with a wicked grin on his face and some evil tenacity. He is not afraid to play dirty and to do whatever it takes, so defenders need to keep a close eye on him. He works hard, has a ton of stamina, and on highlights, you can see him making some amazing catches. His hands and his reflexes are on points and comparable to few others. His athleticism allows him to weave around defenders and to get around coverage, and that is invaluable at his position. Passmann is projected to develop and adjust quickly to the league, and should catch the eyes of many scouts in the NSFL after they witness his smart style of play and his inherent skill. You can't teach a natural born talent, and that's what Passmann is. He can make the big plays and with the training he received from some pretty big names in the football world, he is already on the path to be a star.
I have a soft spot for the Yellowknife Wraiths, they are the team that I spent the majority of my career with with my old player. They always believed in me, making the move to trade for me when I was young and unproven, and keeping me around even through some tough decisions in an expansion draft where they had to leave someone off the list. They were generous and accommodating to my wishes, giving me a wonderful contract, and I hope that they have nothing but success. If there is a team that deserves to win, it's Yellowknife. They are the sort of team that every player hopes to wind up on and that anyone would be willing to spend their whole career with. They've always been well run too, with smart management that makes astute decisions. They draft incredibly well, with scouting that takes into consideration every angle on a player, and they instantly make that player feel right at home. The locker room is buzzing, one of the more lively and energetic chats that a player could be involved with. I just love everything about them and I truly wish them all the best; if things turn out right, I may end up with them again with my new player.
